So now with this new guild system.

Who else is worried that instance matching will get much harder to find teams? I will not be joining a guild as I don't want to. It's already hard enough at times to get into a team for some instances.

  • Playing an MMO and not being in a guild is like.. being a farmer for a living.. when you only have a 2ft x 2ft garden to grow in... go back to single player games if you don't wanna be part of the community..

I don't think it will have a great impact on instant matching. Normally there isn't enough players in guilds that are online or even want to do dungeons at the exact time you do. I'd still be queuing when everyone is sleeping, so... I don't seem the harm in testing the results in this next week.
  • Keep in mind there's hundreds upon hundreds of guilds out there, and theyre all a little different, it does take time to find one that suits you, @5XLYC6WL9X obviously is/was in a more casual guild, theres alot of those, but theres also quite a few guilds that are purely dungeon raiders, or purely pvpers, these guilds understand that guild is really just like a big private LFG of people who you can generally trust and who are always ready to do stuff. But the only way your ever gonna find a guild that suits you is to join and try em out. most people wont even mind if you tell them upfront "well ill give it a week to see if were a good fit". Every one of us has joined and left guilds time and time again.. its part of the game.
  • Why worry about instance matching? It's still cross server... Dungeoning wouldn't change much or at all.

    These people....

Some of us don't want to join the guild for reasons like

    - no time to dedicate to a guild
    - some guilds come with "rules" that we don't want to follow
    - introversion
    - each player is looking for different things when joining a guild, some are extremely picky and never actually find what they're looking for

I can go on until tomorrow but the point is people resort to IMS when their desired dungeon(s) cannot be formed on their server for whatever reason, and contrary to popular belief IMS is not "I got 4 people with all poundings". Yes there are those kind of people but there are means fix that problem.

Ultimately you DON'T NEED a reason to not want to join a guild just because it's an mmo.

I don't get what's going on with the New Guild System that would harm IM queue.

    Please explain ^^

Thx, I think I'll be very sad missing 5 crit, power and endurance. /s
  • I'm with @Digivolve 's point. I've been in all kinds of guilds over the years and yes, mostly casual, but some had a lot of pressure (either from drama, rules and regulations, guild standards, etc) that I just felt better if I was on my own. These past couple of months I've been with my partner in a 'Just Us' guild, and so far I got +12 Slaughter, work-in-progress Imperator and I have made over 1.2 million in just 3 months. Just because it's a social game (being online), doesn't mean you have to play it as such. I respect everyone's choice on why they want to play TERA, and I feel that no one should be judged because of their choice in gaming lifestyle.
  • Guild perks shouldn't affect your performance by that much. If a player was doing lie damage to a boss (example: 200k/s) guild perks wouldn't bump them up to better damage (like 500k/s).

Also, if you're running dungeons via IMS you should hope for the best but expect the worse anyways...

lol just wait for the LFGs to say guild lvl 40+required xD
  • Reason I avoid guilds is that I've had very, very, very, very, very, VERY bad experiences in other games.

This stuff will be most likely only required (and I'm going on an extent to even say that) for top end content. 90% of the game is not top end content, so we shouldn't be seeing "guild level x" required for DFNM... then again, anything not top content can be safely cleared through IMS anyway.

Even so I doubt it. That's like making etchings III a prerequisite because of their marginal difference from etchings II. It doesn't happen. What 99% of people are looking for is the "skilled" tag.
