Basically the title we need away to communicate while we are in bgs so we can talk with other teams if there is a dc or if people need to take in progress rounds also we need away to meme people, so keep alliance chat or give a alternative so we can talk while in bgs

    There is a cap on the number of people who can use this chat (from what friends have told me) and unless it's made super public through spamming some people may not have access to it.

    I'm not sure about other servers but Alliance Chat is extremely useful on MT for communicating inprogs and other things. People who actually pvp would understand why it's useful to have.

    A possible solution being discussed if we do lose it is to use guild advertising since it's easy to access with the guild options. The only issues is that we wouldn't be using it for the intended purpose and pvp memes might leak in as well. <<

    Those private channels are never going to be as robust as the alliance chat that PvP community of MT has formed. A lot of communication is happens and even the newer PvPers know to join the EU alliance to get tips or talk in general. Global is in general used for trolling while alliance is where all the PvP drama/communication happens. If there is a limit on how many people can join that channel, which I'm pretty sure there is, then it's not going to be as efficient and is gonna be a huge pain.

    Private chat channels can only hold 100 people, have to be remade every time the server is restarted AND chatting in them is disabled while in a Battleground, you can see what is being typed but you yourself are not allowed to chat there.

    I don't even PvP but having the alliance chat on I can see how often it's used and how much it helps with communication, however I don't believe BHS has added any alternative : (

    Can enmasse please look into giving us another full global channel that we can talk in bgs especially on mt where we need to know about dcs and inprogress games and people wanting private channels those will never work

    alliance chat has been helpful many times during skyring problems since you can't communicate with the other team otherwise

    having said that, you can't communicate cross-server either, but it was still helpful if you were lucky!

    You can't use erprivate channels in BGs from what I remember unless they changed something since last year.
