I mean, its not like someone will lose something because suddenly you or someone else will deal more damage than usual.
Its a win-win scenario. No one loses and people gain from it.
Elitists will be elitists, having this or not won't really change anything in that perspective.
Say that when archer revamp comes in. That 6 sec for archer gives them enough time to rotate a few skills that basically do an insane amount of damage, like a normal 9mil TB turned into 12.87mil TB and just think about if you ran slaying which gives and extra +1.77 crit multiplier. Which basically have you end up with 14.8mil TB with that. Now add a buffed/pretty strong Final Salvo (hits 40% more than using a full salvo pre-revamp), ROA (hitting 10% more) and an op RF(30%+20% extra from glyph overall damage increase) within that 6 seconds timeframe since you are doing 34.9% (13.41/9.94=1.349) more damage with slaying.
You're underestimating how big these damage buff from the dragons are for classes that are revamped. And the issue is not the accessibility here, as the subject has been discussed, it's the power creep that was mentioned when the dragons buff were FIRST introduced (meaning this issue was actually talked about) and what this thread is about.
Someone tries to recommend tera to friend:
"Yo dawg, I herd u lieked mmos, so try tera out. It only takes 1 day of grinding to get max level and is f2p"
"Whoa, that's awesome dude, where do I sign up?"
*friend levels up to max level*
"Bro, people keep kicking me saying I need a dragon mount or I'm just deadweight"
"Yo dawg, u nid to grind those bams for a couple of weeks before you can play with people. Did I not tell u that?"
"Oh ok"
*friend grinds for a couple of days*
"Bro, bams don't drop sheet"
"Yo dawg, I forgot to tell u it's cash shop only 4 now. They said it's coming soon, 3 weeks ago."
*friend quits*
Because VM procs doesn't give you 43% damage increase for that few seconds while the dragon buffs does and it cd off ~40sec. Also, Blacksmith hammer doesn't work on boss and Imperator's VM proc doesn't contribute much. So...your point?
More damage becomes irrelevant when things are given more hp to compensate and then it means you now have to get said extra damage. Sure, you see bigger numbers, but from a percentage standpoint it's the same thing.
I'm really finding it hard to care if that one single guy in an entire server quits because he's the only one without a dragon mount.
Wait a month or so and see what happens before making posts like these to try and scare people. As far as I know, nothing has changed yet. No LFGs asking for Dragon mounts or anything of the sort.
The buffs don't stack, the royal buff supercedes the regular one, so the most you can get is +2 which is 24.57% increase on crits in your example. It also has a 25% uptime (5 second duration on a 20 second lockout) but only if it has a 100% chance to proc otherwise the uptime will be lower.
As far as the math goes of OP, he calculates crit booster in this. I highly doubt they are counted in, however I don't have any information about this myself. Besides that, the dragons are a PROC. So you don't walk around and guaranteed one-hitting BAMs.
Relax, sit back and wait some weeks.
The royal dragon proc is +2 crit power for 5 seconds, on a 20 second lockout. Regular is +1.5 crit power.
Want to bet the OP gets the proc every time he has to move off the boss? RNGesus is a vicious god.
Edit: The procs don't stack.
