Just Returned and Reinstalled. Only saw 5-6 people in Velika

Where is everyone. Did something happen? There's about 50+ people missing. The start area was me and maybe 2 others that were afk. This is very shocking. Usually you can't even see the flight master in Velika because of the swarm of people around it. I land from the start area and it's just me.

This is some twilight zone levels of weird. I thought people liked Tera? To come back to an almost empty game. People hate flying mounts that much? I don't get it.

People are split between Trading Post, Highwatch, and various spots in Velika mainly. At least on TR.

People mostly hang out in Highwatch now.

I play late at night even back then. The game was way way more populated. You can make light of my post all you want. Doesn't change that things look grim.

It was no coincidence that new players leave the start area and go to the most populated city in the game. This was by design and from an mmo standpoint... pure genius. It dispelled doubts and fears about a games health swiftly. Suddenly there are tons of other players just like yourself all playing the game. 2-3 hi pop channels. Now there isn't. Now it's almost empty. If they did move everything to Highwatch, that was a stupid design choice. Now the start areas are desolate. Now new players have doubts. If I don't want to play in an almost empty game, new players are certainly not going to. Given what I saw in the start area. New players are not coming in at the pace needed to replace players that quit. If 99% of the playerbase is at lv cap... that's called 'stagnation'. Aw well. It had a good run. Good thing I kept BnS installed.

Pro-tip: Next time, actually make 'no comment'.

I don't think that HW has anything special that Velika doesn't (except somewhere to spend vg credits), so I don't really know why people relocated there. I mean, it's smaller so it is easier to get from the banker to the broker etc. People just moved there for whatever reason.
  • Considering the fact that I've played in NA 2 weeks tops, reaching cap in a week (probably less, I never kept count) it's actually quite understandable as to why Velika is empty, especially when it takes no more than a week to cap at best. Majority are all in HW probably since it's got easier access to the needed NPCs. If players are new to the game, they'd expect a game this old to have most people on it be on the higher level areas already. That's exactly what I expected when I first got onto this game.

Also BnS isn't really any better. The game's main towns went empty real quick after couple months cuz people capped easily plus the whole bot problem.

Afaik in TR, low levels always stayed in Crescentia/Lumbertown if they wanted to chat. Most people hang around highwatch if they wanted to afk show off.

Velika and Trading Post are the second choice. Not the primary anymore.

There might be people around in IoD if they ever implement dragons properly.
  • Starting areas are desolate because leveling is superfast now, people don't stay in one place too much due to fast level progression. Most people are actually farming they way through endgame. Anyway it's pretty obvious population have been lowered compared to 2 years ago.

In case you only want to cause polemic, go back to your botnsoul cave.

Yes that game is filled to the brim with bots and what not, enjoy your bot filled game so you can feel the game isn't dying. :)
