Small Guild Quests: Why Only Hard Instances?

  • I cannot express how frustrated I am with this update. I had very high hopes for the guild leveling system. Sadly it appears they are trying to force people to run the harder dungeons so they will get used. If your guild is not good enough for these runs, you have to pug (and that sucks). Between this, the fact that BAMs are more annoying in groups than solo, and the dragon debacle, most of my guild is talking about quitting. The developers are following every trend of a dying game. trying to squeeze more money out of the players with as little effort as they can. The developers have not raised the level cap in a few years, but they have raised the weapon level at least twice. My bank has several stacks of useless tokens because they keep changing them to do basically the same thing. The few dungeons my guild did enjoy running have been taken from the list of guild quests, and the ability to acquire the shadecore and shadetop tokens has been reduced.

Is there problems with choice? Why not let people work together to accomplish the BAM quests without penalizing them or making them run them multiple times so they can get them done. Why is there no BAM quests in the guild quests? Is not one of the major reasons people play MMOs to play with others?

Why not make it so people can play at their own pace. Why force guilds to run dungeons they don't want to, just so they can be a part of the game? who cares if guilds take less experience to have easier runs? The guild can only do 5 a day. Why not let them do something they could enjoy? Why make things grinding and irritating? People who are not having fun, do not keep playing, and they definitely do not spend money.

If they do not start allowing people to be a part of the game with what they enjoy, then all they will have left is the elite players and a few stragglers. I have watched too many games follow the trends I am seeing lately in this game, only to be extinct within a few more years. I know they are working hard on new stuff, but if they do not allow people a viable way to play as a team (outside of dungeons), running the things they enjoy, the game will die.
  • The only difficult dungeon is SSHM on that list. If you have trouble completing any other dungeon you should be questioning your understanding of the game.

Gathering 1200 pilka fibers took at most 10 minutes between 3 people and barely dented our production points.

How do you guys even function if you cannot perform basic gameplay?
  • I have no trouble with basic gameplay. I can hunt the biggest BAMs solo in t8 gear. I do not appreciate the personal attack on my abilities or intelligence.
  • They need to have all dungeons listed for all guild sizes only the bigger the guild, the more runs you need and the bigger the reward. small guilds at least have more than 4 dungeons to look at medium guilds only have to choose from 4 dungeons atm this is broken GG

Large guilds have to run stuff like SSHM 25 times.

In my opinion guild quests should be a combination of dungeon difficulty, and amount of runs needed, 25 clears of CW and KC are easy stuff for any guild, whether small, medium, or large. Yet only large guilds have this quests.

the reason WHY is because statistically larger guilds are typically guilds that just invite anyone of all lvls and arent as organized so dont do much hard content. Whereas small guilds tend to be very well organized and more likely to be "HM only" type guilds. im not saying i agree with the way they set that up but thats the logic behind it from my standpoint..

Ah i see. Thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately we made the guild because we want to play together and we want a shared bank that just ours (me, my husband and 2 of our friends). We don't like hard dungeons or grinding bgs half day and i don't like the idea that we forced to do only gathering for weeks everyday until we reach the lvl 30 :(
Its so sad that we can't choose dungeon quest as casual pve players.

Our quest options included Channelworks, and Kalivan's Challenge. So be patient and keep checking your options. It won't always be hard mode
  • The thing that gets me is why are all the quests for lv65 only? Do they realize even small guilds can be made up from varying levels =_=;
Not to mention the now steep cost of 100g to start a guild (something pretty expensive for lower levels), and if you opt to join an existing guild instead, you can't do any quests. There is enough lv65-only content on Tera, no need to make guilds that too @[email protected]
  • Our guild got cwX25 for the first Day, and for some unknown reason, we lost the quest after reset. Feelsbad

Well... with the amount they've trivialized the leveling process now, I think they are just trying to tell people to level up. Even leveling up part way will get you to the point where 100g is not very much. All the new content they are adding to the game is for people at level 65, so I imagine they figure the less time people spend leveling the better. (This speaking as someone who generally likes leveling alts, but yeah -- this doesn't really surprise me at all.)
  • You guys have to wait until next set of batch patch with sorc revamp

some more changes after 30 man raid patch

Thanks for the info. A little sad that I'll be a while before me and my friend (there is only two of us in there and they are pretty casual) can get our guild bank back.

I totally agree. My guild is all of 5 people, there is no way we are going to be able to do hard mode. Generally speaking there are at most 3 of us on at any one time. So bottom line is that we have had our guild bank removed with no real way to replace it. Some of my 5 will probably quit because of it. Thanks.
  • recruit?

tbh if your guild is small accept the pros n cons of being in a small guild.
generally speaking mmorpg promotes communication and strength in numbers.

  • i'm the only one online in my guild usually and i'm doing the quests (nm,hm, gathering, bgs) just fine, stick to the ones you know you can do (if more are on the better) and you'll level up in no time. for character leveling some people have been getting to 65 in under a day, i took a friend from 43 to 65 in like 2 days? like maybe 4 hours each day. things have been simplified, the only thing more simple would be "here, have free 65 characters"

if 1 guildie runs an instance that's 1 run
    if 2 guildies run that's 2 runs
a full guild run is literally just 1 instance for all 5 runs to be counted since it's per person. gathering? you get like 4-8 per node and there's spots with tons of nodes and if you have felicity then it's even easier...

i miss the days of mchm and when people had to earn their stuff instead of having it all spoon-fed to them and still complain
