Why are we being penalized for server outtages yesterday?

If we can't successfully log-in during our usual time due to a patch fail issue, then why is EME counting yesterday as a consecutive log-in?? We should get automatic credit for it. Now I have to wait 7 days to restore my consecutive log-in buffs?? Sorry... that's BS.

You have 24 hours to login a character and it only takes a few minutes to do it...

This is tracked by the game depending on your login times, and there's no way to adjust that on our end. It's an unfortunate consequence of the servers going down yesterday, but I'm afraid it can't be helped.

You do know that not all of us sit at our computers playing games 14 hours a day right? We have:

    Kids
    Jobs
    Family
    Other things to do

You know the buff is pretty insignificant... +6 power. The only buff I care about is the movement one because it just sucks running slower than everyone else, and you can get that one logging for only half the week.

    Wouldn't say it's insignificant.
+6 Power is still nice for Dungeons, let alone open world stuff.
Sure it doesn't work in Battlegrounds. But it's a bit of extra damage :+1:

But I mean. If you're really going to complain about this, you could've just slept 5 minutes later than usual.

I don't get how people can be like "man I've got a life, I ain't got time to spend two minutes logging in!" but then their busy life doesn't stop them from complaining on the forums or distract them from caring about missing a lousy 6 power buff. Nothing against anyone here, but in my experience the people who care about such minor things enough to make forum threads about them are usually in really deep and actually don't have a busy life (i.e. kids, a full time job, a family to drag them away from the pc, etc.) to distract them, while the people who are actually so busy that they can't log in aren't likely to notice a missing power buff in the first place.
  • Thanks for the prompt & honest response, Spacecats.

As stated above by another, I don't have the luxury of sitting in front of the computer to wait for the servers to begin working again. The two times I happened to be available that day, TR & AV were not. At least I got in on CH & FF to maintain the buff... one of the advantages of being an altaholic, I guess.

It sounds like it can't be fixed on their end, but one remedy could be a 7-day +6 power scroll that would stack with consumable damage buffs to get that benefit back? If you already have the log-in buff, it simply will not stack. Then by the time the scroll expires, you would have your log in buff back (provided you continued to log in every day). I can't imagine something like this would be too hard to implement. Just a thought & perhaps a good will gesture on their part when things like this happen.
