  • The problem is that those rewards are tradeable, thus affected the market a lot more it should be.
I believe there were a lot of ppl suggested making the reward untradeable during the previous mongo event feedback, but somehow EME forgot the most important part.

You got all of that from the event, or bait? Or just Noct boxes? maybe with alliance going they wanted to give some noct away.

PS: If you got all that in 1 hour, I am done with EME and Tera. [filtered] you.

Actually he would have had to been in a raid, and anything that dropped on the ground and picked up by the raid would have been a random roll for the recipient so he could have been the guy that RNGesus loved with all that ext alk, prem alk, and feeds (those mostly dropped from small mobs and you had to run around picking it up).

Still this is [filtered], I am not talking about the unannounced event but that loot in 1 hour is plain BS.

If you were out there solo like I was, it was entirely reasonable. Barely broke 1k feed, only one dyad structure, one noc box. I'm not gonna trash it because someone got a better raid than me.
  • Actually @Spacecats or @Treeshark, Are you OK with this? that 1K GF token in hour with running around? You can run DFNM, SSNM, 10 times and you won't get tiniest part of that loot, how many Ghillie you should run for 1K GF tokens? How can I really rely on you as a GM when you do such an unfair thing with an uncontrollable loot? Of coarse I am going to be attacked by the boys you made happy but sit on my place for a minute and see it from my perspective, I ran 4 Ghillie, 4 DFNM yesterday, what did I get? and What that player with 1 hour event got? If you guys are OK with this unfairness then I am lost.

I am not against events, I am not saying I wasn't there, so it was bad, I say what is the difference between me running the actual game and someone running around in a raid? How many day of hard work play time it takes to get that loot when it was dropped in 1 hour? As long as you are not controlling the loot, I don't say don't drop anything, I say you better control that drop. I am sorry but I am really disappointed that you guys were OK with this when you guys are playing this game too.

I said it before, I was attacked before, But I am gonna say it again, Cotrol the loots for the event, control the RNG. You might gather some kidboys with events like this, but remember they are not playing the game.

Just check my real account activity, one of my Chars there is Alex.Bellatrix ( Female Elf War) on CH. Then you understand where my complains comes from, where my concern comes from, where my points come from, see my dedication, see what I am doing there on that account, I live in Iran, one of the worst countries on earth, one of the worst internet, one of the worst economy, and the time zone difference, still I try to pay for the game and other things, WHY? I love Tera, and when an event like this just does Ten thousand times more than my dedication then I get that cold heart.

You decide now, which players are worth to keep? I hope you read this and think about it. You heard me before and replied me before, and I thank you for that.

Tera has truly become entirely RNG.... RNG drops, RNG lootboxes, RNG gear progression/enhancing, and now RNG for random events with HUGE rewards, held in the middle of the work week no less LUL

    embrace the RNG bois
    Luck > everything
  • Oh cmon. Is there really ppl complaining about the 1 hour event??? Wtf. It was a gift to all players who were online at that time, and a funny moment with the multiple wipes at queen and melditas.
  • Thanks @Spacecats !

I hope there's another event just like this c:
    This event was very enjoyable!
  • Yes!! Thank you very much @Spacecats keep with the good job.

I don't think Spacecats should be restricted from doing impromptu events, given that there are also announced events as well. Impromptu events have the benefit of being able to experiment with new things to see if they'll work on a smaller and less-expectant audience than if something was formally announced. If everything has to be announced in advance, it increases the pressure, and when too many people show up with larger expectations, so does the lag and subsequent disappointment. Plus, with impromptu events, he can do it any time he has some free time, whereas if he's not allowed to do that, he would have the time to do something but can't due to perceived unfairness.

So anyway, I say impromptu events are good and should stay, so long as there continue to be regularly-scheduled events as well.

The impromptu events aren't the issue, it is the large amount of rewards that they are giving out during these events. I was able to take part in the mongo event and made out like a bandit; others that were not able to take part not only feel cheated because they missed out on an event, but also feel screwed because of the massive rewards. My guild missed out on the impromptu guild quest that gave guilds 4 levels for participating in 1 world boss kill; not only did I not get to kill the world boss and have a chance at imperator box drop.. but now my guild is also behind by 4 levels. Seems pretty fair that we have been busting our [filtered] to do guild quests and other guilds gain 10x the experience we did because they were on at the right time.

Well, on this front, they really can't win. When there's any sort of event with bad rewards, people complain that they wasted their time. When there's an event with good rewards, but other miss out for whatever reason (whether it's announced or unannounced), people complain that it's not fair they missed out. We can imagine that there's some sort of magical "just right" point, but it's really hard to have that be implemented in-game and apply equally only to those who participate; they've tried to do rewards that distribute to all those who get one hit, but even that's not fair to healers. When they do codes that are only supposed to be for people who participate, they get leaked. When they create long-term open events with good rewards, people find ways to exploit it. If they cut back the rewards in light of that, people who weren't exploiting say it's unfair. They schedule events in North American prime time, people in Europe and Asia complain that they're left out. They schedule weekly events on Saturday and people who work on Saturday complain. And on and on and on...

I honestly think you'd drive yourself crazy if you tried to reconcile all this stuff; you'd be better off to not do anything, because then it's not "unfair" to anyone. Except then people would complain you're not doing events; one of the most common community requests for the last few years was more impromptu GM events...

Specifically, in the grand scheme of things, these four early levels are not that much and there'll presumably be other activities. There's no way to run an event like of this style and make it "fair" to everyone, and if you gimp the rewards people will complain. So I think the answer is still: stay the course.

All of this. I knew a crying thread like this would appear when the event ended specifically for people who got nothing. That is not our fault. That is not EME's fault. They do not have to cater to your schedule. If you were able to play during this time you would not be complaining but somehow, in the grand scheme of things, because people here didn't get anything, they feel they should be reimbursed for it.

The thing about this community is that regardless of what people say there will always be someone who complains about futile concepts and selfish concepts and feel as if EME is a terrible company. Get over yourself people. This isn't the lottery. You either were playing or you weren't.

Now go back to farming vanguards for your MWA.
  • Honestly; Getting real tired of seeing people complain about everything they do. The event was not a bad thing; So what if it gave out lots of things? It was a nice event, would you rather it give out garbage? No. It was a surprise and no need to rain on the parade not everyone can be on for events, even if they announced it i'm sure people would still cry about "oh em gee i'm busy at this time, stupid eme and thier dumb events" literally no matter what they do people still cry cry cry. I don't know how you can complain about events honestly; would you rather they do none? because there was a time there were no events or close to really stupid ones. I for one love these events and hope to see more in the future. Not all the time obviously but yes I would love to see more of it. It's a fun time with guildies and to kill some upper bosses as well, it's just an overall great time. Thank you for the events guys! Great work :)
  • The problem is because the game spoon feeds you now people expect to the same treatment in regard to events. That's sad and pathetic.

Players are always asking for a gold sink, but they don't realize that making consumables cheaper have the same effect: gold value is increased.
  • This must've been a "test-in-progres" for future events :3 im excited about this. Even tho i logged in the middle of event, i could farm plenty fancy stuff :3. Thanks EME for this. And Thanks @Spacecats for the "Moment of Silence" lmao!
