[CH] Looking for Friendly Guild!

I'm a returning player after taking a break for a little over 2 years. I started fresh on CH and I'd like to join a small to medium guild that's friendly and wouldn't mind helping me get back into the game. I'm not very hardcore and I'm looking for a job and applying to grad schools, so that takes up a good chunk of my time. I'm currently EST and I'm not much of a roleplayer, I mostly joined the server because one of my closest friends did.

I have a 65 Mystic, 61 Ninja, and 32 Sorc that I'm intending to play. I like having options to play with people

Edit: I'm an English speaking level 65 Mystic and 47 Sorcerer, and I plan to main Sorcerer, but would love to gain more confidence on my Mystic to play it a lot. I just returned to the game and I'm trying to get back into doing stuff in it. I pretty much only do PvE and I want to learn and get good at hard content. I'm also looking for a guild that has a more friendly attitude towards learning and mistakes and is social. I prefer small to medium guilds. My time zone is EST. I'm also looking for a job/volunteer opportunities and applying to graduate school, so my time could be constrained at times.

  • Most of the 'big guilds' are currently full, due the accounts limit that came this patch.

I would suggest you to read on <Guild Advertisement> chat channel, as many guilds use it on most of the servers for recruiting new members, then you may ask to any guild member if that's the kind of guild you're looking for.

Searching for guilds outside the game is kinda rough, as almost no one will answer you if they can't see your gear, active time in game, type of player or any kind of stuff they value before inviting you to their guild.

    Greetings.
  • If you're into PvP, Modern is looking for players (especially healers right now.)
Everyone's really helpful and friendly, so they'll let you know what you missed during your time gone.
Whisper Luxrelia in game or apply to the guild if you're interested.

Thanks. I also specified small to medium guilds, so the "big ones" being full isn't a problem for me. lol.

If guilds are really like that, then I'm better off being in the guild I made to not be bothered about guilds. I don't want to basically go through an interview to join a guild to play casually and chat.
  • Not all guilds are like that, but sure someone has to talk to you before inviting you so they can see if that's an alt toon, a main toon, or just a random troll bringing drama to the guild.

    I guess I missexplained it.

Ah yeah. That makes a lot more sense! (Edit: I thought you meant more like "you need +xx (Best Gear), xx runs of (hard dungeon), and play for 6+ hours a day" or something like that. I saw more of that in other games I've been playing recently.)
I'd probably have a lot of explaining to do with two mains lol
  • @tsunderehatter it really depends on the guild what they want. But knowing that a person speaks the same language as your guildmates, knowing that the person is into the same content (be it RP, PvE, PvP, etc), knowing what a person's goals are is very useful ESPECIALLY for a smaller guild. I run a small guild myself and we focus around running/learning the harder content on CH. Since we are a small guild it's hard to find runs/help if we had a few people who did PvP and a few who RPed and some who just wanted to be social because then we only have 10-15 people in guild total who want to do the same type of content as us. We, specifically, don't force a gear requirement or require you to have run X dungeon to skilled but we definitely talk to every applicant and ask them what they're interested in and what their goals are before we think about accepting them into the guild and I'm sure other guilds that don't want to be a large guild feel the same way.

This is way more complicated than most games. I'm used to either basically going professional with guilds or being "eh whatever, we'll do anything." I'll keep in mind all of that with my guild search and update my OP.
You guild sounds very nice. Good luck with it!
  • Tsunderehatter, shoot me an in game tell (Sioned.Sunrunner). Not looking for an interview or grilling. Simplicity is just looking for folks that want to have fun, still do endgame, but not being completely [filtered] about it all. We believe that RL has a precedence and have no problems if member go on hiatus. Again, feel free to apply to Simplicity.
