Update Thread: Patching & Launcher Issues

Glad that someone could at least update the game and play and then be able too.... I'm totally confused from not understanding how the game itself to update. The reinstallation of a completely new game client did not give any kind of results. So good luck to those who are more fortunate today.

You don't have the latest patch installed -- in the footer you can see that it's still showing "v39" -- the new one is "v42". I'm not sure why, but my guess is a bad patch node. (I assume you restarted the launcher already. Might also try restarting the computer.)

Thats funny because the patch took me atleast 20 minutes to download and apply. Never saw such a buggy game, for real. It's like playing the alpha version.

Can i give little suggestion to remove every mod from client if you guys had xD Cause I don't see all these strange stuff tbh, everything is working "kinda" fine on client :awesome:
Only problem with elite consumable box cooldowns they both are 10 mins instead of 5 secs , and istance server is lagging a lot..

getting fatal errors after selecting a character and loading into the world, hits 100% and closes, or i get in game and it then closes again shortly after.

I searched for ways to fix this on the net and tried some suggestions...

Is the Anti-Virus a type like "Windows Defender" , or is it one you specifically had to go and download yourself, like AVG / Avast / McAfee / etc.. ?

Even though you mentioned you have set it to "off" some default settings can prevent the required connection, and lead to an FFFF:FFFF after pressing the Launcher's "Play" button.

Edit : It could be worth a try to temporarily uninstall the Security Software, followed by a computer restart, just to test if the connection could then be made, or if the same error remains. (You should be able to reinstall that software, if it turns out to not be directly causing your particular issue.)

@CobaltDragon there has to me more to this issue than that because i was playing fine earlier then suddenly i come back after a break and have a dimmed out play button. Others were saying at that time the game had crashed so I waited suddenly my play light came on but i keep getting that fffff error and @counterpoint its not modified files for me cause i dont do that so. The problem is it worked then suddenly it didnt work after i came back from taking a break. Before this update I had a similar problem only the play light never would come on and when it did i would get into the game and crash, a week before the update i uninstalled and reinstalled the game through steam and its been working fine. Today i got in made my character got to level 12, logged out to take a break and watch some anime and when i came back suddenly play is greyed out then it starts working i did a repair thingie and still getting this error. I really dont want to have to uninstall and reinstall the game cause if i have to do this every couple of days i see no point in trying to play the game it takes forever to download and install. Anwyay looking for other suggestions

I get to play for a few minutes, then I get d/c then the whole white screen where I cant press the play button. I don't mod, nor do I know how to even go about modding the game. as someone said earlier, today is like trying to play an alpha version of the game.

Tera keeps patching after crashes and patches to the old v39 version.
Restarting and repairing the launcher does nothing.

In the open world, ping sits at the usual 60-80 ms.

Enter an instanced dungeon (solo), and it will reach well over 600 ms. Which kind of sucks. That's how most people tend to level.

Other than that, everything else seems much better now.
