But then they could've just, you know...said that (even a "we might not have this ready in time"), instead of just saying "r" to the dev ready-check to the very end. Would've saved a lotta player-bleed after the last bleed...or two...or three...they claimed to have learned from.
Spacecats would've not needed to rush events to stanch it either, which means a happy (and, yes, loyal) CM.
Fixing it is not easy, no. Basic transparency is. Not like competition's the issue--what're other game companies gonna do, make their own dragon with bigger muscles for their tab-target game?
They'd both be thatched-roof cottages to Trogdor anyway.

Yes, so they should have made a NO STATS dragon (iron/crimson) account/character bound mount to buy directly from store. For cosmetic purposes only. Everyone wants to fly a dragon. Lots of ppl have several characters on different servers. They should have given us the choice, do u want a "special" shiny mount with crit stats? Buy loot boxes. Do u want a dragon just cuz u love dragons and dont give a crap about crit stats? Buy it directly. Wasnt so hard. And they could have made a lot more $, cause you would be selling to the group of ppl that can afford to buy 300dollars in emp to get the stat shiny mounts on one hand, and on the other hand the group who cant afford 300 dollars in emp, but perhaps 60/50 dollars on a regular no stat account bound dragon. So thx a lot BHS.
The regular version of the cash shop mounts is only available through the Tokens that drop from the lootbox (as a chance/runner-up prize). In calling it a regular version, that didn't mean they mean it'd be direct-buy; they always said said these mounts would be lootbox-only. (As many I have said, I think they should have a basic version without the buffs that is direct buy and also available as account-bound, but that's a different issue.)
Obviously everyone is waiting for the in-game versions (iron and crimson) for both versions.

Fashion coupons, complete crystalbinds, and semi-enigmatic strolls all drop from BAMs there... I don't see people farming them on a regular bases for that sort of stuff. Yet they drop an item like that like 1 in 10 to 1 in 20 you kill. Unless you get lucky and they drop a lot all of a sudden... But even then, from my experience, you'll get moments like that and other moments were you get nothing dropped at all for a good 30 or more.
I expect the same to be true when dragon tokens are dropped in game
