Horrible FPS drop after 30 minutes of play.
Hey guys, not entirely sure where this should be posted, so I apologize if it's in the wrong forum.
After about 30 or so minutes of play, I start to get sub 10fps which slowly drops even more. This fps drop stutters my whole system and the only way to fix is to restart Tera. This is the only game where this happens so I'm positive it isn't hardware related.
Specs:
i5-6600k
16GB DDR4 Memory
GTX 1060
If anyone can shed some light on this issue I would appreciate it.

Like I said, it could be something else... but this is by far the most common cause I've seen for this problem.
Hmm, I do have an adapter for Gamecube controllers plugged in. I don't actually use the controller, though. Thanks for the suggestion, I can give it a shot.
The controller/USB memory leak issue isn't for general performance, just this specific kind of marked degradation over time. If you're getting overall performance degradation suddenly after a patch, I'd be inclined to disable Windows Defender and temporarily disable your anti-virus to see if that helps, and also to try downgrading/upgrading your video card drivers.
As counterpoint said, this is over time, I had the same issue and counter pointed it out for me that its my controller, after unplugging it it works and tera ran at the normal fps
Currently playing on a I5 2410 - 4GB RAM - GT 540 for years (run fine, with a few fps drop in raid dungeon like DFHM/WH but i rarely go in these dungeons anyway) hope i wont have the same issue Day1
It remains unclear just how much of an impact they have, but I certainly noticed a performance boost (or rather, a lack of performance loss) over longer sessions of play.
Also topkek @ that guy trying to flaunt his ebin 970M and HQ processor. It sure is a mystery as to why his fps is in the shitter
