  • no response from eme yet or if ever cus its the weekend
  • So the servers are down, and nobody to maintain them ? :D
  • The why is probably the Civil Unrest event bugged out and crashed every server, since they all died when the event would have started.
As for how long... no idea. It's the weekend, so nobody in the office. They did get alerts, though, I'm sure, so they're on the way in to investigate. Could be another half an hour to an hour depending on traffic and what the issue is.
  • seeing as its like 5 in the evening and the weekend, theres probably no one that will come in and do [filtered] so it might be [filtered] for the rest of the weekend or until tomorrow honestly
  • Pretty much make TERA all PVE now and the one day they give us PVP they take it away..Watch them push todays event back..the event everyones been waiting for all week...4 and a half years of tera and it gets worse and worse...and worse.

when the event would have started?? you should recheck your math cuz 7pm PDT isnt for another 80mins..
  • the way all the servers went down idk just throwing this out there maybe a power outage due to bad weather or somethin idk lol this is gonna kinda screw me on my guild quest but no big deal theres always tommorrow until i see evidence to suggest otherwise anyways :)

My working theory is that EME forgot to remove the schedule for the Alliance Conflict, thus when the event scheduler tried to initiate that, it sent an invalid request to the servers to enable it which resulted in a crash. As mentioned, EME are not in the offiice today, which means waiting for whoever is on call to haul themselves down to the office and a) diagnose and fix the cause of the crash then b) restart all the servers. Amount of time this will take entirely depends on how easy it is for them to remove the invalid mode call relating to the removed content.

EDIT: I just realised it's the wrong day for Alliance Conflict, but I guess that the schedule for Civil Unrest was rewritten from the Conflict data, with one of the Alliance mode calls accidentally left in the schedule.

    thats a good theory
  • Just a reminder the servers are not at the office of EME. They are in a data center with a 24 hour staff. All that is needed is for somebody to contact the data center and have them reboot the servers, unless it is an issue with the even then a staff member will need to log in and dsiable the event. But still it sucks, i just wanted to get on and play a normal PVE game.

Servers are currently booting. Now they're completely down again. Someone is clearly working on the issue however.
