Transferring from AV to MT, need insider's opinion?

So I need an insider's opinion on MT: I have like 3k EMP sitting around, and I was thinking about whether or not this would be a good idea. I mean, I'd be spending $25 to play the same game just with different people. Currently, I am a PVE focused player (hoping to transition to a hybrid of PVE and PVP), however I did start playing Tera for the open-world PVP experienced, and I feel like I'm cheating myself by playing on AV (also I have my eyes on joining a specific guild on MT). I guess I just want to know how the environment is like, the playerbase, and the economy.

I'm planning to bring along with my character 4 extra character slots to help me get started raising an army of alts to farm on in MT, so I was wondering how leveling up in MT would be like? My first level cap character was on LoT and it was a pain for the most part, constantly getting ganked by a level 50-something douchebag while trying to run around outside Lumbertown (and it didn't help that my first character was a slow af zerker). I've scoped around on MT, leveled a character to 20 just to see how leveling outside dungeons would be, only getting ganked once by some [filtered]-geared reaper. I'm wondering how questing 60-65 would be like since I do plan to quest those levels out of sheer entertainment #sisterlyincestlovewins. Also, how is it farming IoD bams? Is there a monopoly on the areas like how some areas were competitive to farm on back when Zawahide farming or TAR was a thing?

Also, what are some good items to bring with me to liquefy my gold and bypass the 50k gold limit? I've thought of emeralds and diamonds but I don't really think that it's worth it to pay 2k for every 10k that I want to bring with me. Would feedstock be a better option? I've checked MW alks but it seems they're about 5g more expensive per piece in AV than in MT. Any suggestions?

I'm a 65 Priest in 4/5 Slaughter +12 (still working on getting Starfall gloves, and I've opted out of Slaughter gloves to save money). Should I gear up to a full Starfall +15 first in AV before transferring to MT? Or would gearing up in MT be easier? I don't plan on getting Imperator since I've heard that it's not exactly healer-friendly, so I plan on just waiting for the next update unless MT's rumored elitist-ness pushes me to aim for Imperator.

Well thanks in advanced!

  • Chances are you'll get 1 shot by a troll in fey forest or lumbertown, but once you out level those zones there really isn't that much open world pvp. The mongo event really lowered the price on mwa and feedstock so many people are hoarding them until they raise in price.
You'll be rejected from most pvp guilds with your armor, but again, the only OW pvp there is in MT are @ the Velika dueling arena, thats where good people hang out.
The trolls and toxic people hang out at lumber town bridge or outside cresentia.
