When the office doors are closed, What can you do?
    It's a F2P MMORPG after all.
You really can't expect the best.

It's a F2P game with an optional subscription and tons of microtransactions and real money gambling boxes. It's not something they do for free; they make a bunch of money off of it (and in shady ways too, with gambling, this dragon mount box situation, Hello Kitty situation and so on). They aren't hosting the game out of the goodness in their hearts but because they're making money. We can and should demand some level of professionalism from EME.

That is a choice you made when you pulled your Credit card out your pocket.
It doesn't matter if you invested money into the game.
This is a Korean game developed by Bluehole Studio who, Doesn't care about you.
That is the Reason they have partner's such as EME
(to handle the complaints and problems)

All BHS cares about is, how much is this going to cost us, and how much are we going to make.
But they are the developers, they have that right.

While EME sorts thru all the Problems and Complaint's and tries to work with the Community.
But even their dropping the ball lately with lack of communication along with other things.

    You really have 3 choices.
Don't spend any money, and just enjoy the game for what it is. A F2P Game
Spend money, And complain constantly when there is a problem.
    Quit and move on

As for some level of professionalism? lol come on. Your dreaming
  • Well, again, from a business point of view, next-business-day response is considered professional. Even for paying customers, that's not considered abnormal; our company has a standard 24-business-hour response time for all requests. Our IT staff is on-call for emergencies, but their job is to fix the problem first and communicate to management, who then communicate to customers. The issue is that gamers operate on exactly the opposite of a business schedule (mostly evenings and weekends, not weekdays during the business day), and most of the key EME staff work a normal work week. So there's a misalignment of expectations. I do suspect if there was something they could realistically do to rectify the situation over the weekend, there probably would have been a message, but honestly it's just hopeless. They have to complain to BHS and have them patch it so that next weekend won't fail.
  • When the Black Friday fiasco happened we had forum post throughout the weekend, in game messages telling us that the servers were going down for emergency maintenance and so on it was a weekend and there was some sort of communication on EMEs part but for this........ Can we have a sale next saturday pls :^)

Psst its sunday. EME doesn't work on sundays. They most likely don't even know about the 2 hour server crash that happened yesterday night.

Lol! I doubt there is a single company that hosts any kind of service who do not have at least one person on call in case of an emergency. One of the reasons being that they need to be able to communicate with their community/customers. This is not because it is a contractual obligation but because downtime directly affects revenue and letting their customers know what is going on is a very simple way to help keep them as customers and soften the blow.

Seriously, you should cinsider working weekends. You might be able to prevent quite the let down such as what happened on Saturday night. Js.
  • You know usually I would say Tera players complain way too [filtered] much, and just about anything too. But, the way EME handled civil unrest was not professional at all. They deserve all the [filtered] post honestly.
  • Or atleast have 3-5 people in office on sundays and have a rotation process where when these 3-5 work that weekend, the next 3-5 can work the next, and then the next 3-5 can work the weekend after, and so on and so forth....

It's a Business, With their own hours / schedule
Do you honestly think someone would give up their free time just because customer's want them there?
Dunno about you. But even @ my job. I enjoy my Sundays off, Let alone holidays, Vacation time, etc.
Shoot, I hate when I'm "On call" for my job, Because i really can't even plan something for the day.
    Let's be real

What they need is a weekend staff. It's a 24/7 game. Even stores who are only open till the afternoon have staff on the weekends.

But that's just the way internet companies work. Cut as much corners as possible for max profit.

Does that stops them from posting on the forums? Something as simple as: We are aware of the problem and we are working to fix it. Also due to the problems that this has caused Civil Unrest has been canceled for today. Do that really takes all of your time off? I mean it took me less than 2min to write it and if they couldn't do it for w/e the reason don't we have a Player Council that's supposed to be working close with EME? Is really some sort of communication with us impossible if they aren't at the office? As you said Let's be real.

oh yeah..I remember that weekend all too well. talk about flaming posts......it was like the surface of the sun lol. I actually just sat back and read the forums all weekend. the posts from this past week and weekend doesn't even come close to the level of flame and salt as black Friday was. there was sooo much rage going on. the servers would come up for like a few minutes and then go back out. we would sit in the game betting on how long it would be before we got dc. but yeah, these people that posted flaming arrows this week doesn't even compare. if they raged this bad over last weeks patch, I would hate to see what they would have done if they had an event like black Friday. space cats and tree shark would have to assume an alias , like maybe space dogs and mountain shark lol, cause these people would be hunting them down ha ha
