Experiencing server instability/lag? Report Here!

If we can get any official word or recognition of the ongoing server ping flux and overall server performance since the day servers went down. I'm guessing it may be of similar root cause but knowing you guys know about it would help, there has been quite a bit of chatter around and across guild and server so I know its not just my personal internet. I speak for TR, cannot say for others.

I know for me I'm mostly going to be hanging up my lancer for this week because the constant fail chains half of shield barrage and laggy into slow cast spring attack is driving me insane.

EDIT: Since I started this I'll try to keep OP updated

I'm sorry but, I'm sure we all appreciate the transparency and updates...it can't be the whole world with ISP problems. Each time there are large scale issues and traceroutes are done its often EME's isp fails. I can get that the goto reply is to have us try to hurt our heads over this, because its no easy task to switch ISPs for a service like TERA. But issues with TERA's ISP should at least be looked at because this is very far from the first time. A recent example is 15/30 ppl disconnecting in a FWC today.

I'll check on this and let you know if our ops team has noticed anything. Also I hope you don't mind I changed your topic header so it's related to your post.
  • TY for noticing me Spacecat-senpai. Just glad the acknowledgement is there!

The ops team says server stability looks fine and that the crash on Saturday night shouldn't have any lingering effects on connectivity. Servers went down, and now they're all reconnected and stable. There also haven't been any spikes or dips in player connections (which usually means something is up with lag).

There are a bunch of other factors, and in some cases there's a problem somewhere in the great internet pipeline that is outside of our means to address.

For those reading this and also experiencing issues, the following would help us narrow it down and see if it's something we can solve:
    - What State or Region are you located in?
    - What Internet Server Provider do you use?
    - When did you first notice the lag or disconnect problem?
    - What area(s) in TERA did you experience the problem?
    - What were you doing in-game when you lagged or disconnected?
    - Did you notice others in your party experience the same lag? Other guild members?

    -Northeast US
    -Comcast
-The hour that the servers initially went down, and periodically big server wide flubs, with pretty much perm ping spikes since
    -Dungeons Forsaken/DF etc
    -Everywhere since
-Almost each time when I notice, say something in guild, others are experiencing as well.

I get if your servers are saying everything is good its probably little you could do. Its just that I haven't seen these issues in quite some time and suddenly leading up to the original crash and since its been pretty bad.
  • I'll start.. I've been lagging like hell for 3+ weeks now..
    - Region/State: NA/ Wyoming
    - ISP: Charter
    - When: 3+ weeks ago, before major patch + server merge
    - What areas: ALL
    - What I was doing?: ALL (Broker, Bank, Walking, Dungeons, IOD, BGs) everything!
    - Other Parties lagging?: Nope! Just me!
  • All of us on AV just crashed. We had killer lag a few minutes prior, last boss in dfhm was at less than 1% and we all wiped on a huge lag spike. We are all from totally different parts of NA so it's not internet service provider related.

Lot of lag in CH as well. People in global complaining about it, literally everyone in guild complaining about it and stopping their activities because of it, can't think of a single person unaffected by this. We all live in different locations, but I'm in California with Comcast for my ISP, and I've been lagging like this since early this afternoon, around 5ish PDT. Got better for a while, and then around 10 pm PDT it became unplayable.
  • servers are dying again
  • The lag on AV started again. EME, plz! :(
  • i'm experiencing server lag atm inside sshm, and its my whole pt
  • MT and its also outside the dungeon
  • High Ping on MT server! Please fix, Usa east coast, 37ms ping avg, now 800-3000
