Tips on becoming insanely rich?

  • Basic logic is that if everyone is rich, no one is rich. People can give you hints on how to make money, but how to get rich is up to you. Its also better for the general community if people keep such things to themselves because gold is not infinite, spreading info on how you make money dilutes the very pool you use to make money ie becoming harder to sell things because everyone is following the same idea. Also as stated previously if everyone suddenly has more gold it means nothing because market balances out/inflates anyway to adjust. Its why prices are as high on things as they are now, because of all that early this year/late last year inflation with increased gold influx in a short period of time.

I understand what you are saying..kinda like the raising minimum wage to $15 per hour...the cost of living will adjust to the current wages to keep the rich richer and the poor poorer. same way in tera. but many people , and myself included are tired of looking in their banks and only seeing a few thousand gold, and its disheartening when you go to the broker and see stuff for no less than 10k gold. then the good stuff if 100k or more. I don't think many that ask about how to make gold is expecting to make millions, just occasionally enough to splurge on an item in the trade broker, or to feel like their efforts have been worth playing. it feels good to see a little gold in your bank now and again lol.

for me rich=everyone have good life and are happy

your definition is more a lord and his follower

or the alpha and the others

  • There are many ways to accumulate gold. The best way to start is to have alts, and at least one or two accounts used for gathering. IoD BAMs are overall the most time efficient way of farming credits, gold and recources, but I personally avoid them, since they get really tedious over time. Do the daily dungeon for Shadecore tokens on as many characters as possible, and do the same thing in Kumas, saving the daily chest and credits. We've got new content incoming, so having credits ready to exchange for new nodes and crafting materials will bring in good gold.

I mentioned gathering earlier. You can opt to do several things: 1) Try your luck with etching, or just refine materials like scarabs for sell; 2) Craft brooches - Quatrefoil is the new BiS, but they offer only a slight improvement over the superior crafted brooches, and they still sell; 3) Craft oils - Hijka, Aterstod, Ostatak. I'd advise against selling raw materials, since there is always a possibility of critting. Even refining them to ingots, silk or sillex is better than just handing them over for less gold.

Exchange the tokens you get from daily dungeons and/or IoD bams for things that are highest in price currently. Goddess Tears were a good item for sell, but I think Colluva Ore is more worth selling at this point. If you do t3 bams for Shadetops, sell Runes. Oh, and the most worthwhile investment is to get Elite status as soon as possible. It literally pays itself out in only a couple of days of doing Vanguards and other dailies, and it's worth not just because of the double rep, but because of the Crafter Cures and consumables you'll be saving money on.

Nothing to do on your character? Did you do your Ghillies? One run is worth about 300 to 400 gold, depending on the drops, and you can finish it in 5 minutes or less. 4 entries per day, that's 1200 gold per character. And there is always that small chance that an expensive design or diamond might drop.

I don't flip items on the broker, but selling wisely also brings in more gold with some patience. Hoarding stuff is the key. Also, being vain in moderation. Laughable as it may seem when someone says it, costumes and cosmetics ARE the true end-game of Tera. Gear, jewelry, and as we've lately seen, even innerwear, lose relevancy every couple of months. But costumes, mounts and accessories are there to stay. Attractive as they may seem, they are also quite expensive, so unless you really want that costume, it would be wise to limit oneself to as less as possible. Unless you buy EMP with money.

The market is somewhat a mess with prices right now, but with all the things I've mentioned, I've earned about 2.5 million gold since this patch started. And, I don't even do instances like SSHM or DSU, which would have, especially in the case of the latter, brought me at least twice as much. So, even with "vanilla" gameplay, you can get decent gold with enough patience and by just playing the game.

Everyone looks at Kamizuma as the new Tera Einstein.. He still have to learn to play the real money to get a decent PC. Try to enjoy the game. Learn hard mode dungeons, be good at your class.. money will come by alone.

You can do it in Idoneal, just have to do all the guardians first (so you can get the buff at the end). And really I've never noticed any difference in drops between doing all 3 bosses or just the last one that cannot be explained as RNG so the only thing skipping the guardians does is save time. I think before it used to drop more if you skipped to the end but now I seem to get the same crap no matter which way I do it.
