Rally quest trolling

A small guild (9 people or less, I assume alts from another guild) on Fey Forest took today's rally quest, and either nobody from it is on to summon the quest BAM, or they're refusing to summon it for some reason. What happens in his situation? Will another Rally quest appear again after it expires or is it gone for the day?

Unfortunately these quests are wide-open to "abuse" like this, though I can't think of a solution to avoid this kind of thing.

    It's not abuse. People are free to either summon it or not. They got the quest, they don't have to summon it if they don't feel like they can get top 3, because it would benefit other guilds in terms of loot if someone else sniped it from them and they don't get the EXP. It's fairly common sense, actually.

    They still get the exp from the quest just not the loot.

    There's a reason they have 2 hours to complete the quest.. Maybe they grabbed it and are waiting for more people to get online so they have a chance to get the Imp drops.

    Whomever accepts the quest has the RIGHT to CHOOSE what time to summon the bam, or not summon it, if thats what they decide. There is nothing that says they have to summon it right away

    This is true. After two hours the quest expires and the guild that claimed it fails, getting no rewards. The timer starts when they accept the quest.

    Timer's almost over as I type this, and the guild was less than 9 people while there were at least 3 raids of 20 people in the area waiting for the summon.

    I realize that it's well within their prerogative to not summon it, but it's a bit of bad manners to take the quest and have what seems to be no intention of summoning it.

    Yeah why release content like this when it can be subject to griefing via alt guilds. If this keeps happening may as well not even have it around.

    Thats understandable but Spacecats the rally quest ain't fair we have large guilds with outlaw on and while trying to dps they killing other players what kinda of thing is that its not fair to other guilds to have a quest like this a whole hour wasted and at the last few minutes when they finaly summoned died twice trying to dps the bam after a hr of just standing their waiting this quest should be removed and a solution be found for it.

    EDIT: Clarified.

    They were waiting to summon it for friends to get online, it was an alt guild of a major guild.
    They summoned it and we killed it.

    This is actually intended, there's a reason(again) why Rally quests are done out of SafeZone.

    Then move to a PvE server..That's what makes a PvP server a PvP server.
