Pretty sure Athletic already knows that. As for your question, @Athletic, sadly, no, there isn't really a chat now that people can use for talk like the alliance chat. Kinda sad, since alliance chat was like a way better version of global chat, where lots of people could take part, but only had a fraction of the toxicity that global tends to have (at least in AV). That would actually be a pretty good topic to start a thread about, at least if someone hasn't already made one about it.

@Cuatal and that's for both PvP and PvE? Or just PvP?

Conflate, aka conflakes is pure PvP BiS gear, Vm8 is BiS hybrid gear (pve/pvp).

I use Conflate chest and boots, weapon vm8 + SF gloves and belt. im busy to craft CF gloves so i use my old +15 SF they do the same dmg as cf with an extra 2% vm dmg. Only the Vm8 weapon is usefull for pvp, the rest is good for pvp but conflate is better way... but i miss that extra stat in the chest sometimes.
  • @Athletic people use guild advertisement chat
  • @SakuradaJun Vm boots is actually gonna be better than conflate due to conflate not having a crit resist line and getting a defense modifier nerf o:

So conflate boots are pointless? I noticed they have the exact stats as slaughter boots.

you said you don't have conflate gloves, but how did you compare the damage between conflate gloves and SF gloves? My guess is you compared your dmg with someone else who has conflate gloves, but are you sure you and the other guy has exactly same stats bonus from accessaries and other pieces of gears?

Please take a look at the chart in original post. conflate gloves do ~3% more dmg than VM gloves in ideal condition (meaning all other pieces and accessaries are same)

Indeed, so many ppl still just say "Conflate" is better or "VM7"is better. Please note the it depends on which piece you are wearing. Conflate boots are the worst in pvp, and will be also the worst even when get buffed.

Another thing that I want to mention is...do not forget that VM7 will also get buffed like conflate. As indicated in original chart, conflate weapon shows way less dmg than VM7, but someone might think conflate will be better cuz they will get buffed. However, conflate will get buffed on base modifier by 7%. You might think this 7% buff will overcome the current difference(~7% less dmg) in behind damage of conflate weapon, but VM7 weapon will get buffed as well..so if you still think conflate weapon will overcome VM7 weapon, there is nothing that I can say anymore.

From my personal testing conflate gloves are overrated. VM gloves with 3% increase damage is about the same as 6% pvp damage.

This is indicated in original post, and as I mentioned in a comment that there might be a hidden defense option (~4%) on full VM set, cuz conflate gloves are supposed to take only 3% less more dmg than VM7+15 gloves, but they take ~7% more dmg than VM7 gloves so that those 4% comes from hidden bonus.

Yeah I just tested it myself too. This is definitely weird... have you brought this up with tera support? Not sure if they care about this though...

I have not asked this issue to EME or BHS. But this hidden bonus has been reported long time ago in KTERA. Some Ktera ppl tested about this, but the test was very rough, so they couldn't confirm that.

My guess is it is not bugged, but just a hidden bonus for top tier gears.

Did you account for uh... set bonuses???

That is why I added 7 more endurance when I was testing in order to compensate the loss of set bonus for conflate gloves.

When wearing conflate gloves, the tester lost 7 endurance from set bonus and took ~7% more dmg than full VM7. When we added 7 more endurance for VM7+conflate gloves (so total def will be almost same), it still tooke 3% more dmg than full VM7. So..where does that 4% difference come from?

Isnt tera still following old meta?
After Rework Conflate will be able to compete with the current VM7
However, VM7 is also getting buffed
Surely VM8 will be the next BIS since its stronger than VM7 after buff

least how I think its going not keeping up with ktera patches, but I do know Conflate & VM7 both getting buffed.
  • Conflate as a whole set is getting buffed, while only the vm7 wep is being buffed. Also conflate receives a much larger buff. Anyone still questioning what will be best should probably reread toi's post on the first page of this thread.

One more time, wouldn't Conflate belt be better for a mixed set of Imperator and Conflate? It has a higher defense modifier than Imperator belt by a pretty noticeable amount. The only reason I'd see taking Imperator over conflate is for the very slight boost to power.
