The drops are the same if you skip helping the guardians.
As for priest clears, it is somewhat slower than other classes, but you can speed things up with DPS crystals (but keep in mind that only a few skills can backcrit Banyakas, like gunner Arcane Barrage), crit power scrolls and other consumables, and with adjusted glyphs for more DPS.
As someone who's played Tera for the past 4 years and watched the market fluctuate, I'm just gonna throw in my lil opinion.
There are some really good opinions on here. Each style of money making has a different approach, and not many of them are going to be instant profit gains. More often than not people forget that making money requires time and effort. That being said, if you see an approach to making money you enjoy then you need to stick to it and not cave in or give up because it's taking too long - cuz then you're just losing money).
Personally speaking, the easiest money to make is doing your dailies and selling all the mats. It's not as profitable now as it was earlier in the patch (rip tier 9 selling for 15g ea). You can still sell masterwork alk boxes and niveots on top of whatever mats you get while running. However if you're going about your daily life on Tera and doing dungeons etc and not working on gearing, you can get a decent amount of mats to sell. Feedstock, alk, things of that nature will sell super fast. Now these aren't the most profitable but it's a good way to make some ez coin. I was doing this at a very minimal amount when the most recent patch hit and was easily making 10-20k a day from one char. If you don't want to risk the broker or if you just prefer playing more than sitting at the broker, then this is prob the best method for you. Capitalize on new patch releases as well. Stock up prior to a patch and sell after release when prices will skyrocket. If you really want to be sneaky/annoying for money, you can even buy up certain items for a class release. For example, with ninja release everyone was rushing to hit 65 for the title/achievements/whatever. Not many people wanted to wait for gear to drop so they would buy cloth gear on broker. The cost of cloth low level gear on my server skyrocketed from 5g to 100-500g for "superior" gear. There were even pieces sold for over 1k that had sold for less than 5g the week before. Some people take advantage of this. And although the profit seems minimal, the profit margin is substantial. That's a 100-200x increase in cost. A 20,000% profit is crazy but people do it and can make some very easy money this way (Though a lot of people will give you a hard time if you're one of the ppl doing it). Or even consider a double drop weekend (like the one coming up). Buy mats for less, wait a week or two and resell them for more. It's things like this, various market patterns that are announced in advance that you can plan around that can make you a good amount of money.
Next up: EMP items. Everyone assumes EMP selling is the best way to go. It's true, if you don't know the market then selling any EMP you get with real life money could be your easiest route. It's quick, someone will always buy it, and it takes minimal effort outside of a few buttons and a credit card number. But ask yourself, what are EMP buyers doing with those items? 9/10 times they're reselling something you got at a markup. Let me use a quick example with dragon loot boxes as it's the most recent item. On my server, EMP sells for about 1:35 and a dragon loot box is 495EMP, so a total cost for a box bought by an EMP buyer is 17,325g. That same loot box is selling on the broker for around 24,500 gold (the last I checked anyway). Now quick math shows us that particular box is making a total profit of 7,175g for the EMP buyer (who is selling it for almost a 1:50 ratio). But that box might take a day, maybe even a few days before it sells. The key to selling actual EMP items is patience. It won't sell nearly as quick as selling pure EMP but it has a better profit for you. And even with EMP items, certain things sell more often. Account services seem to sell more often than loot boxes or cosmetics - but the ratio here is lower because most EMP buyers know this and so there's more market competition for account services (i.e. price cutting etc). I've had conversations with some well known EMP buyers and they've all said this. Some have even stopped selling cosmetic items completely because the market is just not as active for them (or there value gets lowered a lot by in game events like kyras potion etc) - even though cosmetic items can have some of the most lucrative profits. That's just basic supply and demand. It all trickles down into your preference. You can sell 1 cosmetic item in a week and make a 50k profit, or you can sell 10 account services in that same week and make the same profit. It all depends on your personal patience level, how much you can invest and how much you can wait. Time is money, after all
My last tidbit is on buyouts (which is buying all of a certain item on the broker, raising the costs a substantial amount while there's no competition, and reselling for a profit). I personally hate them. I've tried doing buyouts on various items throughout my time on Tera and it's not as effective as I'd like for the amount of time/cost put into it. However there are some people who can pull it off (and I'm jealous). It's just a very risky method that can be ruined if someone has stacks of that item in their bank. So be super super cautious if you're trying to do this. I don't recommend it unless you're extremely certain that you will be able to do it right and do it well.
Now let's talk about one of my personal favorites. I just came back to Tera after 3 months of not playing. I wanted to immediately get back into playing the market but after being gone for so long, I decided to give myself a very small limit of 25k because I wanted to refamiliarize with the market (aka play it safe bc I didn't want to waste money). So what did I do with that 25k? I invested it. I had a fair amount of bg credits among my alts and I used that + the 25k to buy a bunch of enchanting bonanza boxes off the broker. The boxes were about 1.3k-1.5k each, so I bought like 20 and used bg creds to get 10 more. And then I opened them. Why? Well the answer is simple. They drop enchant mats that sell quick because they're always in demand, and if you get lucky and pull 25x semi-enigmatic scrolls you can sell them for 200g ea right now. That's 5k from a box that only cost 1.5k, for a 3.5k profit (or 233% profit). So I opened my 30 boxes, got lucky and got 250 semis thru all of it + I think 300-400 spellbind (which sell for about 35g I think currently?). So that initial 25k (+my bg creds) got me from 25k to ~70k in one sitting. I sold all those mats, used the 70k to repeat the process after buying all the boxes on my server, and now I'm sitting at about 150k from doing this for maybe 30mins-1hr of actual effort (not including time it takes to sell the mats). Now this isn't a for sure method of making money. You could pull a lot of master enigmatic scrolls or tier 9 feed, which doesn't make up for the cost of the box (per quantity given). It's all rng but it's cheap rng that I've noticed more often than not gives you a substantial profit. Now why am I giving away this info? Because I feel like a good portion of people who read this are just starting off with money making on broker, and they can't afford to throw a lot of money down at once. This is an easy example that doesn't cost much and gives a decent profit - although it depends on your server costs and market trends (like right now enchanting boxes are selling for 1.9k since I bought them out and I'm just waiting for the market to replenish and drop back down bc it's not a good profit&loss ratio at that price). Just keep in mind if you're doing this to weigh the outcome BEFORE making any purchases, just like you should with any market flip. PSA/Disclaimer: the more people that read about this particular method and try it, the less effective it will be (remember, supply/demand - more ppl will buy boxes, causing cost to increase to above what profit will give which makes it less effective than what I just wrote). Don't say I didn't warn you.
TL;DR - go back and read it, you can't really expect it to come that easily. There's no shortcuts in making money.
All in all, I hope some people find this helpful. I'm happy to answer any questions (and would love feedback if anyone has any). Best of luck to all of my fellow gold getters out there.
P.S. I didn't talk about gathering/selling crafting mats or crafting in general because I'm not a fan of it. It's just a personal preference. I find crafting to not be as utilized as before, and the market demand isn't strong enough for me. It has the potential to make some good money as mentioned by @TeraDestiny earlier in this thread - but I'm not familiar enough with that aspect of the market as I don't partake in it. But that's also an option if you're interested. One thing I will bring up about crafting is that it takes a pretty decent amount of gold just to get to a point where you can make a profit with crafting (for example, etchings), and even then I've found the profit is questionably unsteady. Just a warning to anyone thinking of going this route.
no. u can clear Ghillie with any classes
Actually crafting anything at this stage is probably not worth it, unless you already mastered a skill. Between leveling up your skill and taking the tests, it would be a long time before you seen a return on your investment if decide to start now.
However, gathering requires no initial investment other than time and PP to level up. If you aren't spending your PP on crafting (either for yourself or for selling on the broker), then you should spend them gathering mats and selling those on the broker after a new gear patch. It might not make you rich quick but it is a steady income, and there's a chance you'll get etching mats even from low level nodes. I made far more gold doing that when leveling my first character than I did with any other method.
I think that is an old scroll, GG entrance is located in Velik's Sanctuary and the teleport scroll is labeled as Velik's Sanctuary, not GG.
