Servers came back up before it was time for the first Civil Unrest: Velika to begin. It didn’t fire. As of right now, it’s still not clear why Civil Unrest: Velika didn’t fire like it was supposed to. It could have been a consequence of the servers going down, as some players are assuming, but we’re still investigating because that’s not a sufficient answer. There’s an ongoing conversation with Bluehole about the issue, but up until this morning that conversation was mainly focused on the cause of the server crash. There were a lot of questions that needed to be answered. A huge failing on our part was not at least coming into the forums and apologizing, letting you know we were aware of the issue. Treeshark and I weren’t around in the forums when we should have been. You guys deserve to know when we’re working on things like this even if it’s the weekend, and even when we don’t have any solid answers to give you.

In the meantime, I’ve talked with Treeshark and we’re going to run Double Drop and Double PvP Rewards events the weekend of October 8 (this coming weekend isn't ideal since we want to focus on ensuring Civil Unrest: Velika is issue free). The events are an apology to those who were looking forward to Civil Unrest: Velika on Saturday, but we realize it’s small potatoes. Steps are being taken to make sure we don’t leave you guys in the dark should something like this happen again.
