No Mongo, No double Drop, No anything that further destroys market.
As for CU.. kinda figured something like this might happen. Test servers are hard to get identical to production and even the slightest difference could end up letting something work in testing but not in production. Sometimes debug stuff that's active while on testing causes otherwise broken things to function apparently properly. Not sure there's any "compensation" that would make anyone happy other than it working next week.
The plan to (possibly) run CU on Tuesday evening when the servers are freshly started and everyone at the EME office is around is a good strategy. If it works on a test server as-is there's not much else you can do other than debug it in production and make a few angry calls or send a few angry e-mails to BHS.
On a side note, EME is usually pretty good about owning up to things when they're the ones at fault. If they aren't coming out going "Yeah, we screwed up. Our bad. We'll have it fixed soon." then you can normally be sure it's something that either came already-broken from BHS or otherwise out of their control to prevent. Good examples are patches where even simple things such as items that were tradeable no longer being, queue sizes being changed in BGs, certain dungeons being queue-only, etc., are different than they should be for NA. These are NA-specific changes EME (probably) told BHS to apply on their end. Any time a new build comes missing these NA-specific changes.. the community likes to blame EME and only EME. While sure, they could check every single NA-specific change to make sure it's correct... they shouldn't *have* to and may not have the manpower to do it every time, so things slip through.
tl;dr: It's not always EME's fault when things go wrong. The community needs to understand this.
The elite status vouchers may be good for some but for those of us who pay for elite they're a bit useless. I mean you got people paying $10-$15 a month for this game despite the constant screw ups and still they're getting tossed a 6-day voucher like that's supposed to mean anything to them. It's insulting.
We just want things fixed really the double/triple drop events come off as a sad attempt to distract players from the issues at hand. Like EME is trying to put a pacifier in our mouths every time something gets screwed up. In general the events just come off as insulting. I don't know what other compensation to suggest other than them doing what they need to do to get Civil Unrest working like it's supposed to. It's frustrating to wait and wait and build hype only to be let down consistently.
The communication is terrible as well. If an event isn't going to happen or something goes wrong the least we could get is a server announcement of that, not a sneak post on the forums when everyone's watching to see the start of the event in game.
In regards to dragons, giving everyone a dragon mount would be nice but probably highly unlikely unfortunately given the passive skill that comes with them. Unless by 'normal' you mean a mount with no skills attached, that would be nice as well considering a lot of us just want the mount for the look and have been waiting literally for years.
At the very least, since they're hellbent on keeping the ghost/diamond mounts in the shop only, I wish they'd release the regular/non-royal versions of the ghost/diamond ones we currently have available as direct purchases, preferably as account-bound mounts, bundles or direct buys like they did with the flying mounts when they came out. That's what I and many others thought they were going to do when they first said the ghost/diamond dragons would be available in the store, yet instead all we got were terrible rng lootboxes that barely give out tokens much less a dragon. I would gladly spend money to buy them if they're guaranteed/account bound and I'm sure a lot of others would too.
The rng on the boxes is abysmal for them to be $5 a pop.
The other issue is this: Which goes back into my issue of how terrible the staff's communication is.
I hate how vague this is and truly don't want to be disappointed again by waiting for these things to be available in the tera store only for them to release terrible rng lootboxes again. The very least they can do is let people know at some point before these things come out whether they're going to be lootboxes or direct buys, ESPECIALLY when we're quoting them and asking them. The staff tend to be vague or they flat out ignore direct yes or no questions. If there's no set answer then say that at the very least and not ignore people? I've seen Spacecats and Treeshark get @'d with the same question more than once from different people and still no answer. At least give people some sort of response.
Dragons frustration isn't resolved and now Civil Unrest doesn't work it's just really a shame that both of the biggest hypes of this patch have crashed and burned the moment they came.
it offers something as compensation so players can't complain that they don't get anything, but also requires you to play the game to benefit from it, so players can't complain that it ruins anything.
This would be fun but also it would kill the Goddess' Tear market....not that I would mind I am trying to get a Quatrefoil Brooch
Huh? How? By VG token?
Those are limited dailies, as usual. Its not like they can farm it more than the daily limit.
Unless I'm missing some IOD bam drops.
The tokens you get yes. Making the crit motes drop would make it accessible to many alts for people who would farm them like crazy.
If that's unreasonable I'd appreciate the free elite - considering I've paid Elite for the past 3 months(well entire year but that's not what im getting at) while I barely played due to issues or lack of content (other than the beginning of ninja patch tbh). And I don't think I'll be playing much while they test everything unless there's some good events to keep me having fun.
I really really like laid back events where it's not ONE HOUR TO FARM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN! WATCH OUT FOR ENTIRE GUILDS PKING! (like the mongo event/kyras). I literally play for 12 hours straight staring at my screen during those events and actually enjoy it.
The reward/loyalty credit thing erks me. I've paid elite and bought EMP pretty much every paycheck throughout more than 2 and a half years. If people "want" higher tiers they should play more and pay more.... I dont think it's fair to me who is being rewarded for time, effort, and loyalty for everyone to get their tier handed to them. As the tiers increase they get harder so for me that isn't fair.
well, one week after that there will be no EME lols, and you see @Spacecats and @ Treeshark trying to find a new job.
Well I'm only tier 5 on my account and with 100k reward points I would only get to like tier 6 and 1/4 of tier 7 or something like that. Also 10k credits are only enough for a couple of costumes or consumable boxes.
This should be printed and hanged at BHS's office wall, and their employees be made read it everyday before start their work.
If you have a ton of alts, then chances are you can already do the IOD bams with your alts by taking advantage of how the system works and wouldn't need the motes do to do it.
EU also has 100% drop chance on motes.
