No one else gets kicked, just me. And I know it's not my connection, because I'm sitting there talking to people in voice chat the entire time.

Well, this is actually the sign that it is your "connection," just not between you and your local ISP. It's the path between your ISP and the server that's the problem (as with those above). Your connection to voice chat is going to some other server elsewhere, and so isn't affected. But your ISP's connection to Chicago (where the TERA servers are located) is having the problem. Your own personal connection to your ISP, and TERA's servers' connection to its hosting provider, are okay.

VPN won't work since basic Ping from SEA region to Chicago are around 250-300ms.

Here basic ping test I did from Cyberjaya MY to Chicago US
    Comcast - average 557ms
    SilverIP - average 254ms
    Izulo - average 257ms

BUT, I wonder if SEA player can get any lower than 250 ms.
Well, yeah - I think a ping around 250 is normal from that region, so if you can just bypass the Comcast route, you'd be better off. That's what I mean by VPN would help -- assuming you can find one that takes the other path.
  • The servers have been messed for a while. I've been jumping from my average 40-50 ping to 200-4k suddenly mid dungeons. Very annoying, although doesn't always happen.
  • I've been having severe lag spikes for a while now (EU player here), making some of the dungeons almost unplayable. In particular, it's really bad in Kalivan's Dreadnaught (Hard), with the fps dropping to nearly 0 as well. My PC is long due an update, but the instance was at least at a playable level before. Other instances have worse ping as well since the Guilded Age patch got introduced. I'm being patient, as I hope it's a known issue for the EME team, but I figured that I might as well put it out here, since the added 30-50 ms (depending on the instance) really make the game experience a pain.
  • Ohoho... my ping went back to normal.... Might be temporary but now is a good time to do some dailies. =)
  • same ping returned back to 280ms ty
