Am I The Only One That Actually Enjoys RNG And Grinding?

Not sure why but i find it very fun to grind mobs and mats from them....as well as RNG though rng can be the devil i still find it fun and actually makes the items I get from that more "well earned'

Guess I am just crazy who knows lol

I generally dislike RNG - but I especially hate it for paid products from the cash shop. Like, if I want the silver dyeable snowbelle outfit for example, just let me buy it straight out for a bit more than the regular one, don't make me buy possibly an infinite amount of loot boxes with a tiny chance of having/not having one in it. I could buy a hundred of them and get literally nothing but vendor trash for my money.

I don't mind it so much mat farming, but EME c*ck-blocked me out of doing that on most of my characters, too - trying to gather mats to level up my weaponcrafting is almost impossible, as lower levelled mobs won't drop [filtered] for you if you outlevel them by more than a level or two.

RNG is okay here and there, now and then, but not everywhere all the time.

People have various tolerances for random chance dictating their results, although if you have high tolerance for it then all the more power to yah!
  • progressive rng is good, but the rng that can easily make you grind for weeks with no progression at all can make you quit the game, and that kind of rng is everywhere in tera, most notorious one being awakening enchantment.
  • This ain't nothing I can get decent gear in a day if I really wanted to.

Try BnS you'll be grinfing all week to do ONE upgrade to an accessory that gives you a jack [filtered] increase in stats.

If you don't like that, don't play an Asian MMO. The RNG for them is merciless and is specifically designed to get people to shell out time, money, and more money.

    +1
  • A Normal amount of RNG is fine. The issue is when you start getting RNG inside RNG inside RNG, and you have to pay for it with real money.

Ah true I am not up there yet for those things so I am sure I will feel that pain .....Have been away from the game almost a year now but now that I am back I love all the new changes I am seeing and content.

I enjoy grinding immensely, it keeps me busy and my mind off things.
  • I love the grind (so to speak). That's kinda what Korean MMOs are all about. ;) I used to play Maplestory and that was just one long grindfest to level 200 (250 now).
