Close but no Cigar - The People's Voice

  • Great post!
  • Not my voice. Whoever has studied some political science knows this one basic: As soon as someone claims to be "the people's voice", you can be sure it's no democratic element anymore. Agitator, (post-) communism, whatever. But not democratic.

And this may hit you hard: the majority of the player's base are not represented in the forums and are not participating in your petty poll. This is not the people's voice. Whoever works in PR or any customer related field knows that feedback is always low in return and usually you get an overproportional negative feedback, not depicting reality. Not going into details, but this is basically the same as the old "trick" in which players made multiple accounts and posting a large amount of stuff to proof their opinion.

I wonder what's behind all this as lately the forum acts like your life depends on CU:V. Time spent in forums ranting > time spent ingame.
  • Hmmm let's see.

Content wise I think it's time to look at what Bluehole released since Wonderholme days.

WH needs to just be taken down and replaced with the following dungeons.

Akerons Inferno/ Rift's Edge / Ravenous Gorge / Bathysmal Rise / Sky Cruiser

Now why those dungeons? To be honest although in the end some of these were easy to clear a lot of people played them more. At least during the times I was active. Two of these dungeons are also Raid dungeons which bands people together more and offers more variety.

My only real opinion to add to this is Ravenous Gorge. It should be a dungeon and an Ace dungeon. One to farm Shards One to farm feedstock or designs for Vm (with a 3-5 % drop rate watch how many people spam it).

Ok moving onto the Guild Quests.

Guild level should not matter when accepting quests or you pretty much remove the lower level guilds from the playing field. Although most people are aware newer guilds either die off after a month or get absorbed into others.

The true issues right now are in civil unrest but I left my feedback in another thread to that.

The Rally Bam quest is pretty much a dicey issue. You're going to have to unfortunately accept that the bigger and more geared/active guilds will generally win the rewards. The only foreseeable alternative is to deny that guild a chance at getting the quest again for 7 days at least to me. But again it's exploitable. Alternate guilds/accounts etc.

If I have anything else to add i'll do so down the line. Too tired to really put effort in this time.

The Peoples Voice refers to the ability to agree/disagree via the strawpoll.

Also I didnt even mention the civil unrest at all in my post. Infact I personally feel the civil unrest is absolutely fine other than the fact it doesnt actually start... And of course the fact that you can remain inside after your guild tower has been wiped. But again, never mentioned any of that here.

The activity in the forums lately is due to the players clearly not being happy with various aspects of this patch. While this may seem pointless to you, Eme have shown numerous times in the past that they have listened to our feedback. Refer to the link in the first few lines of my OP as reference.

Might I also add in regards to "Forum ranting > time spent ingame" remark.
Please consider that there is NO FRESH content for us to play ingame. The "hardest" PvE dungeon is 3 patches old, the newest PvP content doesnt even work.

People have a right to express their feedback. the same way you have the right to express your disinterest in it all. But in all honesty, if you truly hate seeing this kind of stuff, the forums may not be the best place for you to lurk. As 95% of the content here is feedback/complaining of some sort.
