Worth it?

So I'm thinking of dropping $20 bucks worth of EMP. I'm gonna try to shoot for the Dragon box or the Shadowmare boxes. What are the chances I'll get the mount. How many try's did it take you to get what you wanted? Are the odds good? Or is it pure luck?

  • From what I've heard it is around 1/30 boxes for the one with buffs. $20 isn't likely to get you there.
  • So I'd need to spend around $60? Maybe more?

if its 1/30 an you buy 30 boxes, you will have 36% of not get a dragon

    1000$ :3

Body is 5 characters too short.
  • So what are the odds or the Shadowmare boxes. Also 1/30? So if I spend $20 in boxes what % do I have of not getting it?

Is very simple really, RNG is RNG. No matter the odds, even if they are as crappy as we know they are, you may be extreamly lucky, you may even get 2 in a row, or you may get the prize in one box. Ultimately is your money and is your choice to take the risk. If you feel you are gonna regret spending the 20/60 bucks to get nothing, then don't do it. If you are fine even if you don't get anything I'd say go ahead.

Also, good luck if you do ^^!
  • Honestly the problem with RNG is you could drop $5 and get it in one box or you could spend $500, way above the average/expected cost in relation to the drop rate, and get nothing
  • True, very true. I might drop the $20 and leave it at that

  • $20 is only 4 Dragon boxes, and there have been people that have $100,$200 and $400 and not got a Dragon from loot boxes, I think your odds are slightly better with the Shadowmare tbh, but RNG is like a slot machine, some people win and some don't. I don't do the loot-box thing myself, because if I spend money on a game I expect to get what I pay for, not maybe I'll get something if i'm really really lucky. Are the odds good with 4 boxes no not really, but is it possible sure it is. If you can handle the risk vs reward aspect of RNG, and if you feel lucky hey take your shot and best of luck to you.
  • Yeah, I'm going to go with Shadowmare boxes for sure. 14 boxes for $20 bucks are decent odds.

Don't. You want to get 500k gold worth dragon with only $20? If you have that kind of luck, go to a Casino.

Guys if you really want to spend money wait til black Friday its like a month away. and usually emasss has amazing deals and even a special item you can get depending on how much you put in to buy. Last year was a noble friendship mount for getting 100 dollars worth of emp. : 3c
(though i cant remember if its Christmas or if it was black Friday that they gave a speical item).
  • i think it was the Christmas gift boxes that gave really special things for buying so many gifts.
  • crap with the % assumptions. It's all RNG
