Equalized gear will not all of a sudden make people listen to leaders, hit all the BAM spawns and back cap pyres, not KD stuns, focus healers, not road fight etc etc etc. You will still be in the same boat, only worse because you will now realize it wasn't the gear that was causing your loss.
Just saying.
Depending on whether you have the mental strength to go on alts or not.
Although I agree that even if you don't elite, 50k a week is not a farfetched sum and can be obtained if you play everyday on 2-3 characters.
Also, full EQ gear matches will never come to FWC in NA because of the simple fact that not everyone does CU (for me battles are at impossible times which was the sole reason why I didn't bother with guilds anymore)
+15 was never a reason why players lose tbh. I throw myself a conflate weapon with my own PvP credits grinded from old CS and I go even with any +15 gear player provided that the team knows what they are doing.
It is people who decide that hardy blocks player attacks, people who are unwilling to cooperate etc.
@Derpybowl
Exactly, now soon the forums will be full of people complaining about some classes advantages, about people getting one shoted, about stuns that seems to last forever, etc.
Equalized without other options is bad because it marginalizes the reasons for making an entire gearset. That's all.
Battleground Changes
Gridiron now with equalised gear for all (previously only equalised for players with an item level under 404)
Fraywind Canyon now with equalised gear for all (previously only equalised for players with an item level under 404)
Champions' Skyring now with equalised gear
So u can still use starfall, or imp, or vm8 in fwc
Damn you do PvP all the time and yet fail to kill someone who does PvE all the time, pure skill showdown, you deserve a huge humiliation. (I'm one of those who does PvP all the time, or used to when I played, not once did I find being on equal footing with PvE players unfair -- if anything I could prove to them how superior my PvP skills are, instead of humiliating myself like you do)
if you're not one of those people who said that, then ignore this post, don't start [filtered]

Within this patch, equalized gear is available in the following battlegrounds:
Corsairs’ Stronghold
Champions' Skyring (Solo)
Fraywind Canyon
Gridiron
Iron Battleground
Kumas Royale
to the following
Other people I've talked to said they haven't heard of a change where all the gear was equalized in ktera. It might be poorly worded and be related to the eq gear you get at a certain ilvl.
2 Good DPS can take down any healer with any (pvp)gear.
Also not sure if you've noticed, but with a tiny bit of crit luck a reaper can 2 shot a priest in EQ gear. Maybe 3 depending on crystal preference.
Not sure what you call a setup, but whipsaw into death doesn't look like much of a setup to me.
When treeshark adjusted the ilvls a few months back for fwc it was accidentally applied to solo q too. For a few hours I was able to use my own gear and it was a lot of fun. Lower ilvl players couldn't do damage to me and if another geared person one shot my dps I could res them constantly and just draw the game that way. While briefly entertaining for the few hours it was broken this would be really annoying to anyone who wanted to q. The eq gear was a nice adjustment compared to what it used to be in solo q. The gear could be a lot better but letting players use their own gear would make it harder on a lot of other players.
The gear is [filtered] in solo q to help the games from constantly drawing is what I'm getting at. In fwc and teams being able to use your own gear is a good thing though since you can coordinate better with people you q with.
