Tera Phone App Companion

Does something like this exist? Like the ability to login and see broker sales, character gear? If not would a 3rd party app be able to pull this information from the tera servers? @Spacecats
Thanks!

Nothing like that exists.. I think that would end up being a huge security issue, especially since in game aspects on a tiny phone... well..
  • Asking for a third party to get this info straight from the server is asking for a ban...that's a huge no no. If a third party can do that, they can basically hack the game.

Well I mean other MMO's have it where you can view your character online, which Tera could do, and then just export it to a mobile format.
  • I'm not sure what all could be pulled from I've noticed the dps meters can pull glyphs from packets transmitted for verification on moongourd, but I don't know what the extent of the info can be. It's possible, in theory, but noone has done it yet and it would definitely not be endorsed by EME.
  • tera players cant have lives with the amount of grind in game, so it wouldnt be used.
  • Don't even mention the possibility of this. It's bad enough companies use "two-factor authentication" as a bad excuse to push mobile apps--and their ads and general stalky creepiness--to phone users.

After what now looks to be the second dud patch in a row, though, I guess they're free to do so.

I think everyone would rather see a community driven app or mobile-optimized page rather than an EME or BHS release. Similar to the now defunct TeraDPS or (awesome) moongourd
