add voting/polling to threads.

EmE needs to clearly see how unhappy (or happy) players are and a very easy clear way is to have an option to put a survey in a thread.
this new patch is the breaking point for many players including myself.
eme measured their twitch success by viewes, heres a way to view idea success on forums.

  • I agree! The forums have been lacking something like that ever since they got rid of our dislike button
  • it wouldn't do any good. nice thought though.

Forums are a poor way to judge whether something is accepted or not. While it is a good way to find general opinions, a survey or something of the sort sent to a bunch of people is better. I would say one in the client itself like modern games can do but... don't think that's possible for Tera.

It's theoretically possible anyway if they use the Welcome window (as they do for Kyra's) but it's a bit tricky to get a "fair" count given how easy it is to create multiple accounts.

However, EME does have metrics already beyond subjective things like surveys: daily active users, monthly unique active users, average time spent per user, average revenue per user, average revenue per paying user, monthly revenue, and so on. So if people are really unhappy on the forums, that's one thing. If people play less or pay less, they'll see it.

(That said, I don't think they need a metric to understand perfectly well that people are upset about some things. It's perfectly clear.)
  • the dragon mounts are a clear example of eme not listening to the majority of players.
because you put layers of rng with the iron and crimson loot boxes and the royal version cannot be farmed in game. that p2w.
pro of spellbound patch - sorc revamp

There's a difference between "not listening" and "not being allowed to do what they want." EME had a system they wanted and it was rejected. This is the system they were directed to use instead.

That said, being able to quantify the anger/dissatisfaction might help them re-raise the issue with BHS and provide more evidence that it isn't what players want. However, I suspect the only evidence BHS really cares about won't come from the forum, but from cash shop sales. That sucks, but that's what this whole situation makes clear. (And, regrettably, despite all the anger on the forum, I wouldn't be surprised if the cash shop sales work out in the end so BHS learns nothing, but we'll see. Because this really is all about money, it's quite literally a case where "money speaks louder than words.")
  • im glad you understand the issue your post deff does make sense. if only there was a way to show bhs the players can and will push back.
i am personally disapointed because i has plans to grind tiers while farming bams for dragon tokens and get gold and mats + complete VG dailies all at the same time.
