LOL I'm completely with you on the being mad about p2w but how bad do you have to be to think you need +15 to do any of that pve content...
6 a day if u can do all the 6 quest that is. And u have to do this in all of your characters. Worst thing is they don't care about the comments they never did. They're kicking out the free to play players what they don't know w/out them other players wont buy extra items anymore to sell to the brokers for gold. No easy gold for us anymore. Me and my friends are leaving this game. We all got 1 thing in mind. We want refunds A$$h0le$!! bluehole=A$$h0le!!
Okay.
I've dumped a bit of money into this game because I foolishly thought that ducks were in a row. Even though I have a dragon from P2W (Diamond Dragon), I feel less than honorable having it now knowing that other people have literally next to 0 chance to get it from the game. I bought the dragon in the hype just because I wanted that "fiiiiiirst!" mentality and to play around with it before the rest of the dragons came.
You can be sure I'm not going to spend one more dime after having dropped $500+ dollars into your game, EME. This, from a customer's perspective, is outrageous. You broke your promise to your community REGARDLESS of the legality of what Bluehole and EME had, you do NOT make promises to your community and then go back on them and "expect" the community to not be OUTRAGED about it.
I'm at least glad I can see it now and stop paying NOW.
Because of people like you this game went to [filtered]
P2W is the way most games are going now a days... it shouldn't shock anyone that Tera 'looks' to me going that way. - Honestly... they have been ever since Elite Status buffs were added... but you can still get the same buffs in-game with in-game gold and by actually playing it. So.. is it really P2W when you can still get all that stuff in-game via in-game methods?
The grind for the scales to have a chance at getting the free dragon mount is kinda stupidly high, but don't you think that's kind of the point? Someone mentioned FF XIV - which I play also, much more than this game - Every time there is a new patch/gear added there is months of Tomestone farming to get said new gear followed by a grind to get the upgrade materials. I understand you all are upset at the fact there is a low chance to get what you are after since all the time you will have to spend on it only to deal with stacks of RNG, not being able to pick the one you want, and not being able to bank them to give to your other characters.. that is valid and you have the right to feel that way. Simple fix for this would be to improve the drop rates, add the option to pick which one you want, and make them bankable - true. ...or... Lets do one better, leave the way you get the free dragons the way it is, BUT make then the same as the bought ones? Any player willing to go thru all that should be rewarded.
Players want fair treatment...
EME and BHS are companies that want to make money...
As for EME telling lies about the game... Yes, I have read all the past posts about different things they promised only to see it come out completely different. That's not fair and it shouldn't be that way. They should at least explain why they changed it before they change it. Not sure how many of you played Diablo 2 back in the day... but, Because of something posted on Bnet forums by the CEO of Blizzard, I will never play WoW. They said that there will never be a P2P game on Bnet.. a few months later, out comes WoW.. that thread on the forums went POOF. When asked about that post, they said that never happened. When I posted a screen shot of that thread post, it got deleted and I was banned from the forums. A company's main focus 'should be' the customers, but it isn't. Maybe back in the 1950s-1980s, but today, it's profit. The main reason is because no one can agree on one thing anymore. Everyone wants something different.. everyone wants it the way they want it. A company cannot simply change things to suit everyone while being able to make a profit and a company cannot keep going unless they make a profit. That being said, some people will be pissed at what they do, some will leave, and some will just keep on as if nothing changed or adjust. If they made the dragons simple to get and as good as you all want them to be, they won't hardly sell any of the loot boxes anymore. Thus a reduction in their profits. So I refer to what I said about them above... If it's a pain in the [filtered] to get them, some people will still buy them... just make them the same and leave the method of obtaining it in-game alone.
These are not shocking concepts here.. what is shocking is all the trash talking about how shocked everyone is by this. Is this game still running with all it's servers? Seems like it... so I am sure they are not suffering financially. Saying they are not eating is just a stupid over-Exaggeration. How many players, like myself, have spent more of our hard earned money in the shop and had to go with out? I am sure I'm not alone in that. For that reason I've had to quit playing Tera a few times. Yea, I'm kind of addicted to spending money in the EMP Store... No, I do not have any of those dragons.. RNG Hates me. Saying you are going to quit playing because of a stupid .5% is also an over-exaggeration, you all are just upset, calm down. I play all classes, I have 15 characters, so yes I understand how important crit is for a tank and DPS.. i get it. but seriously, relax. Your complaints are Valid, you all are just going about it a really bad way.
Anyway... People will either like this or hate this. All in all, I am sure some of you will pick this apart and trash talk me.. I don't care. At the end of the day, you have no effect on my life. I just want everyone to relax and handle this more logically. We are a community, the NATERA Community, and together we can work to improve things, but we have to work together. Clam Down, Think, then act.
The problem is that
1) They lied.
2) This is an item that gives an in-game stat boost that can ONLY be obtained via purchasing with real money. (Yes, you can buy it from other players, but the cost is incredibly high and in the end SOMEONE has to spend real money on it) This isn't just as p2w as it gets, but it's an awful precedent set for the future.
So yeah, this is a pretty big deal and it's a pretty bad one.
The in-game dragons still add a 1.5% vs. the store bought ones 2%.. so.. they both still add a buff though.
I also do see your point and I do agree, this could lead to much worse things.. but it's not that bad... yet.
If only the bought one added that buff, yes you'd be correct 100%
It doesn't matter if the stat buff isn't particularly huge. It's the principal of it all. You need to speak up when it's small in order to try and prevent it from getting bigger.

That's more or less what I was trying to get at when I mentioned the game I was on before. It started out with RNG boxes with a chance to drop shop-only gear for mid-level characters. Then it eventually turned into more and more shop-only gears which got progressively better and then eventually, they made a token based system where you buy enough tokens you can buy the best gear in the game. There was no other way to get these gears unless you spend money, or buy them with in-game gold from someone who did pay.
Just like these dragons, which you can only get in-game if you buy it from someone who paid with real cash. Sure the buff may not be much right now, but many of us here can see what will be coming next if past experience is any indication.
It's clear that BHS wants the other dragons (Iron and Crimson) to be impossible to farm with high chances of never gaining them so as to frustrate players who want dragons to just buy the RNG boxes in the shop. Such tactics may have worked on me when I was still naive but definitely not anymore.
Many people already hate the concept of RNG in games. Where's the sense of accomplishment if it's all down to chance? I thought EME's tokens system was a great idea, because then you actually had a guarantee you could get one in the end. I understand why everyone is mad, but read between the lines (as counterpoint and others have said). It's very clear that EME didn't want it to be this way either, it's all what BHS intended. And if this is where things are headed, I don't see a very bright future for the game. As I mentioned in the beginning of this post... It'll only get worse from here unless people make a point of not supporting what they're doing. And even then it's no guarantee anything will change.
