Well, RIP mystics
The mystic buffs are [filtered] honestly, I played mystic because it was the lesser healer, it was a challenge and it required higher skill. But not it's just boring, honestly both healers didn't need buffs, we were just fine how we were. I know a billion people are going to call me stupid, but I like a challenge, not a handout. The healer is an important part of the team, but if they don't have any trouble doing anything then what makes a dungeon hard? Everyone will be invincible or instantly picked up. It's upsetting to see 3 years of hard work go down the drain.

Harder on the party, not the mystic.
There been more dungeons then KNHM thats been real brutal for mystics, mostly because mechanisms have not been made to work properly with mystics skillset, ABHM is a prime example of this where the boss can decide to triple attack you, and with a single iframe/move skill and minor other ways to avoid not exactly much you can do but die. This isn't the only dungeon with similar issues but it's one that is playable again.
Also some of the healing changes actually a semi nerf against ABHM to, specially as the dot helped top peoples of so you could focus on other things, orbs are as well pretty useless to in ABHM unless your about to die because of the dispel effect.
That said me personally do not really care that mystics are generally harder to play then priest, what i've mostly cared about is the times where mystics been pretty much frown upon, luckily have not been the case as much anymore but also because there been no real challenging dungeon as of late.
That said, I'm overall pleased with the mystic changes, I could care less about pressing one button less every 30 or so odd seconds that cost beyond to much more MP then it should, but this change originated from the first balance change after release of Tera in Korea, together with most of mystics dps spells and dot damage from all classes, it's actually funny that some of the changes are kind of reverted 5 years later now.
If there been any change in terms of how to play mystic is that now you do not really need to worry about MP at all, this was a issue when you play your class at the top because no mater what you do you will need to chugg mp pots, but the changes this patch bring, this is no longer gonna be a big issue.
Overall thought I'm just as busy playing Mystic now as before, I just have other means to keep myself busy.
if things get too boring for you then try running without your static that doesn't get hit by anything and the game gets a lot more exciting.

So, activating a glyph is now only for the elite, eh? What's next? "Such elitist, expects people to have a weapon equipped"..................................
PS: Almost everyone got destroyed by tripple targetting in AB HM, not just mystics.
Most of the changes were made because damn no one want's to level one and no one want's to run around and do their dailies on a healer and don't say leveling isn't a pain I've leveled both.
They are too EZ mode now.

So, you admit you never healed KN HM before SJG. Good. You see, in addition to not being able to heal and cleanse everybody at the same time, you also didn't have the mote selfheal glyph(that came out later). The fight was also much more demanding since there were multiple DoTs involved(in addition to the poison-damage dot you know from AB). It was designed to put mystics at a severe disadvantage and was very successful at it. The main challenge being, you had to play at your absolute best just to be able to keep yourself alive and most mystics failed at it miserably.
All other dungeons(AB and SC included) put more pressure on the party than on the mystic as the class limitations(targets on heal and cleanse) could not and cannot be overcome by just playing better. Unless you think that banging your head against a wall you can't break is some sort of challenge.
PS: I'm about 80% certain that during the original Abscess(60 cap), all a mystic had to do in there was heal, cleanse and resu. VoC glyph and contagion were both introduced with 65 cap and I'm somewhat sure that TW was still 25 power(I did some googling and it seems to confirm that the TW changes came later, it's been a while though).
Healing less doesn't make them inferior to Priest, there is literally no reason to even take a Priest beyond needing the additional heal, there's a reason why groups preferred Mystics. if your group doesn't need the extra heals a Priest becomes nothing but an Energy Star/debuff bot, but that's rather useless when you can just take a Mystic which offers something similar in addition to the extra offensive power through the extra stats and superior mana for the group.
Stop thinking of them as "healers" and more of as "supports". Priest was only the superior healer, how ever, Mystic was the superior support. Priest is only ever better for inexperienced groups, or when learning new dungeons, but even then, you're better off just taking a Mystic and a Priest due to how much damage a Mystic gives any competent dps.
