fwc was eq years ago. cs and 3s were eq for a long time. there is also a post of the new fwc ex gear from eu.
you don't need to q for the bg to know from past experience and current photos to know the gear is garbage.
eq gear unbalances Pvp more then any gear set difference.
Hmm well for a lot of people its not about the gear being balanced or not but the fact you cant choose your own gear more
For three major reasons:
1. The first not as obvious as some would think the ability to customize your gear the way you want it to fit your play style or preference draws people in you never know whats coming this way for sure.
2. The more obvious thing is whats the point of farming pvp gear and customizing it when all raid battlegrounds are equalized.
3. Last but not least there is much less of a challenge in playing against people with the same gear as there is with gear you choose yourself and no I don't just mean b/c someone has the best gear while others have the worst the gear you make and how you roll it greatly affects peoples behaviors in game.
Actually its because BHS has been utter garbage in making proper EQ gear.
If EQ gear actually felt like one nobody would have really complained.
They didn't take into account:
1) Noctenium buff active in BGs actually gives a huge amount of free damage. This is the gross underestimation.
2) 20% stun reduction is very important in ensuring game fairness.
3) One shotting in EQ isn't as fun as you think it is, even for a DPS.
If you know what you are doing, you can crit for upwards of 90k on FB pre sorc rework, and with the new rework, possibly even higher. This is what trivialises the fight.

I have survived against +15s with just dreadnaught gears (in slaughter patch). Of course the damage difference is pretty huge, but the point is FWC used to be somewhat of an endgame for PvPers. If +15 can carry players I would like to ask why average people in +15 Starfall actually fall super easily to top guilds, some of which not even in +15 gear at all. I see that in like 30% of the games I play back in FWC, where garbage PvE players in +15 gear and PvE crystals think they are the best.
If you just want to see how bad EQ gear is for FWC, just check CS. IIRC it is the same gear, and you can get twoshotted as a lancer... lol.
Most benificial to the player in my opinion and many is to simply make it uneqalized. Where is the reward of using your own gear in a bg if they make it equalized.. yes I Understand making the bg equalized gives players a fair chance but they need to change up the matching to fix that, for example 5 mans or double 5 mans que up against the same especially if the players are from the same guild. Also average out the ilvl and do not allow gear switching once youre in a match. (Notice your ilvl drops if you take gear off) (Im pretty sure this effects the matching but I could be wrong)
It's for multiple reasons , in eq a single reaper combo will wipe 5 people no problem.
Ninja one combos healers if played right.
Gunners AB will wipe a ton of your hp in a single strike.
Eq gear just doesn't have what you need to even the playing field. It simply exposes how broken the new classes are let alone re vamped sorcs.
Then there's the issue of stun reductions on eq jewellery.
So while you people who just can't be bothered to even go mid tier yell Yay no more +15 gear carry. I'll sit back and wait for you to whine about how you're getting one comboed by warriors or even zerks.
Eq fraywind sucks. I'd rather be in there with slaughter and gate jewellery than eq at least then I know that if I do die I've been out played or just been dumb.

I'm not the only one, but personally i geared 2 alts with Conflate and Bloodmaze jewelry (besides my main) to make FWC and be comfortable while doing it. My purppose : enjoy the BG as much as i could and contribute to the team by not dying in 1 enemie's combo.
But now... now they're sitting there thanks to this EQ BS, hurts cause i'm not P2W....
