Priest Buffs Removed Upon Teleporting or Disconnect / Logout

Just what it says on the box, Priest buffs are removed upon teleporting, dc or logout. This even happens to the Priest themselves!!

I assume this is a bug, and not by design. A side effect of the new changes to buffs only applying to party members, and the way the game handles checking for these things.

Comments

  • I noticed that too, but I didn't assume it was a bug, I figured we just have to rebuff every time we zone from now on.

It's not a bug, and is intended, it's similar to a lot of other buffs as well. Is it annoying, yes? Although I don't see it changing since they never bothered for anything else.

makes enough sense that they do, considering stuff like ninja's focus or warrior's a/dstance are also lost
  • The fact it happens even to the priest makes me think it is a bug. Also on player DC.

Die in Manglemire because your healer was dead so you decide to rez outside and run back in quickly? Don't forget to get a rebuff.

^but in the above scenario your buff will be removed regardless of the change ._.

    Lol good point ;p
  • As Legerrarwen mentioned, or in similar scenarios such as Wonderholme, Ebon Tower where there are teleports within the instance or DS with mandatory TP's between floors.

eh it's just that sort of thing that makes me think it's an unintended side effect rather than design. It really serves no purpose if it was design. And if it was by design, then why not make it within a certain range, if they are trying to eliminate party sitting (like the way I have my buff priest in party while I'm levelling now but out of range to stop xp leech. At which point they may as well make it an aura.
