Slayer does not have a skill that guarantees a crit even with 56+266 crit rate.
Measured slice only contributes 25%~28% DPS and Heart thrust 15%~20%. You need more crit to boost other skills that have low crit chance.
Eviscerate, fury Strike, knockdown strike does not have inbuilt crit or a crit glyph.
Ultimate overhand strike sometimes deals 3x damage than regular overhand strike, then you want every single strong hit to crit.
Slayer does not benefit too much from stacking crit like other classes like zerk and sorc so you need even more crit to compensate that.
A Crit against enraged monsters from behind is 730% damage of white damage. 50 Extra Power at 250 total Power is only 20% more damage.
As of recent runs I'm currently hitting 1.5mil overhand crits and 4-5 mil upwards on MS.
Sucks evisc has no crit built into it would be great for combos.
Still evisc has powerlinks as does some others skills.
