we don't need events for mats for a long while now. what we would appreciate is costumes events or mounts. (permanent)

You know, even if we do not need them, you know that people still gonna ask for more, cause no one can ever have enough materials. I too would like more events for permanent costumes, mounts, special items, etc instead of enchanting materials, but i honestly do not see it happening, the part of not having more materials events. They will happen, one way or another, cause not everyone has the same amount of materials or gold that those at the top have.

For those of you around for BAM Killer, what did you like most about the event? The tiered merchant rewards? The goal of killing a bunch of BAMs? The promo video? Do you have any specific memories that come to mind?

a little late answer, I hardly go on forum. But pretty much everything. I did write much about what I liked about that event in my previous comment, but quickly:
    - Promo video
    - "Work as a community" and not "competition" Event
    - The reward were actually great and balanced. Nothing were free, you had to work for it, nothing that really did break the economy as well
    - Cross server contents are rare / inexistant
    - Balances for lowbies/top gear players

It was basicly the only "Event" I actually remember as an event... Tera has Festival all around the year, but event, none. Mandragora for example isn't an event, it is a free give away for rich people. Same with mongo, same with random unannounced lag-fest, etc.
BAM Killer event was also great because it was for everybody, lowbies, lvlcap, whatever and that is something to keep in mind for a well done event. Do not make selection on who can and who can't play it. Again I'll use Mandragora event as example, even lvl 65 just dinged couldn't do it. Wave 1 was farmable, but soon as ghost spawns, you needed at least slaughter+12 to survive/kill. Yes being in a raid and leeching was possible, but it is not what I call "participating"

Slaughter +12 is like less than 3 days of effort ._.

To me the best events in TERA so far that should be repeated constantly through the year are:
    - Kyras Potion shack 2016 Valentines Edition
    - TERA Mongo 2016
    - TERA Mongo Neon

I agree that the BAM Killer was a really nice event. Unfortunately it may not come back, as this event used unique tokens, which EME stated many times that will not be usable again. I may be the only one who remembers, but at first, people did not liked the event. They kept complaining that the milestones were unreachable, when all they did was sit in Highwatch afk letting a minority do the job instead of helping to reach the milestone, so it did caused a lot of negativity: Players who wanted a free ride against players who worked for the milestone.

In the end, no matter how good an event is, there will be a lot of people who will complain about it, saying stuff like it ruins economy, or it only benefits veteran players, the rich gets rich and the poor stays poor, etc.

Truth is, BAM Event did get complains at beginning, till people managed to understand what they actually had to do. Yes a few lazy people didn't do their part, like in every event people leeching. Although in that very BAM Killer Event, if you were active, you had more tokens. Also, being 90% cosmetic gave this event a total different purpose. People played it for fun, to look awesome and not to enchant +15 for free.

Also, Highwatch didn't exist, just saying :) But I do agree, any event, any content, people will complain, cuz it is so easy to [filtered] then actually doing something, but really, this event was unique and way to many people actually would enjoy to see something similar. I personnally wouldn't mind the very same event, new or old token, new or old goal, new or old reward doesn't matter. Just hope it won't be another "break the economy fest"...

while i don't recall the bam killer event in particular, i think an individual and group reward system would encourage more input for the events. make the individual rewards something people want (tokens for vm mats, costumes, mounts, or old armor templates like dreamkeeper) while the group ones would be stuff like drop multiplier (like double or triple drop or increased bg credits) i think this would be a good way to encourage participation on both fronts while rewarding those that put in the effort to help reach said goal

That isn't the point, You can say lvl 1 to 65 is 3 hours(already done powerleveling) and Slaughter is 1 day farming DFNM(carries) if you want, it does make casual player, retired players or who ever comesback unable to join the "event". Also, 3 days out of 5 day of event, that's considering you're already lvl 65, you proven my point :)
