Why it is going to take a lot for me to leave Tera even after playing Revelation Online
So I bought into Revelation Online because the character creator is sexy and it looked pretty cool. After playing it I wanted to share my personal experience and why I it will take a lot for me to leave Tera for this game. Before I start I want to note a few things. My decision here is based solely on what I can see this game becoming and not what the current state is why bugs and untranslated crap. Also there is a chance I will play both but Tera will still be my main squeeze...might try that polyamorous lifestyle
.
So first off I fell in love with Tera for a few reasons.
Now after playingt Revelation I can say there were definitely some pros and cons
Pros
Cons
All in all I will try the other betas... am done with this one for the most part I think...but I will be playing Tera unless BHS really screws up...again...
So first off I fell in love with Tera for a few reasons.
- Playing dungeons from a low level all the way to max was really a cool idea to me.
- The combat style is awesome.
- It wasn't p2w (and it still kind isn't even though it kinda is...)
- It was free with an optional monthly sub.
- Tons of costume customization.
Now after playingt Revelation I can say there were definitely some pros and cons
Pros
- Combat is kinda similar to Tera if you choose it to be
- The character customization is AMAZING
- You travel around crouching tiger hidden dragon style...basically jumping in the air and gliding...its fun
- YOU CAN HAS WINGS
Cons
- Team gameplay is essentially non-existant... I mean dungeons were about it and I don't think you can dungeon grind all the way to max level
- Cutscenes are sometimes not skippable and REALLY over the top... if I wanted to watch a cheesy anime I would do so...
- From what I can tell costumes don't actually exist? I mean there were like back slots and stuff but nothing to replace your gears look. I could be wrong though.
- There is like 4 currencies in-game...like wtf?
All in all I will try the other betas... am done with this one for the most part I think...but I will be playing Tera unless BHS really screws up...again...

This is different
P.S. Everything on the Closed Beta will be wiped :P
From what I recall seeing of Cryy's videos levelling at max level is a mixture of dungeons and hot springs.
Outfits exist. The Chinese version I played briefly had a store much like ours where you can buy outfits and I don't recall seeing RNG boxes for outfits (although they could be there so don't quote me). The outfits you can see in the profile window somewhere acts like a wardrobe as far as I'm told, so you'll never lose any outfits/mounts you receive.
They're the same... You have gold, 3 different reps, 4+ different tokens on Tera. Also the game does have costumes, they just aren't going to be there during a beta that is meant to test the servers and stability of the client; there's a lot of YT vids and getting a Chinese account is easy. In fact their cosmetics are superior to Tera's. They have accessories you can use and walk around with and you get to actually hide your weapon too, something asked a lot on Tera but never done. You can even change your character's appearance for free as many times as you want for the 1st ~3 days. You can also level through dungeons (normally faster than questing like Tera), and Tera has no team work either aside for instances and pvp, which RO has more pvp options as well. Tera's only advantage is the true action combat as RO's is a hybrid system. The hybrid system had disappointed me when I tried it in China.
Although I do agree on one thing - the cutscenes are wierd. Dubs are confirmed to come in the future however.
