Sorcerer Meteor Strike Animation

Since the Spellbound patch, I've had this issue regarding the sorcerer's meteor strike animation. This is the screenshot on what it looks like http://i.imgur.com/m6tF8F9.jpg
I have tried playing around the game's video settings as well as reinstalling the game but none of these could help fix the problem. I'm really getting desperate on how to resolve this matter and I will really appreciate any advice you guys would say to help me fix this issue.

I have the same problem. :( Since I got a new graphics card (AMD) and a very expensive on on top this is disappointing.
I contacted support many times, all came back with the same BS about reinstalling the game or repair the files, none of them worked after 3 reinstall and many repairs.
All drivers and everything is updated, I even reinstalled my whole windows.... nothing

The problem is with the new files since the SS patch, i had the same problem in every boss in SS with the red aoe areas.
  • Tera don't like AMD since 2010 xD their relationship arent gonna improve anytime soon
  • My graphic card's driver is up to date.
  • @Shikine And here I am thinking I was the only one and I am using AMD as well. I feel you man, I know how frustrating it is, especially for someone like me who likes to play any games on maxed settings. I hope they fix this soon. I don't really wanna get a new Nvidia graphics card just for this issue since I have already spent so much on what I currently have. :(

The problem is more than likely because how this game is so badly optimized, I have an AMD 370 graphics card and I haven't had that problem will playing my Sorc, What is your ping like that might be the problem also, because some animations don't run properly with a low ping. also if you have another older AMD graphics card try installing it to she if that helps because sometimes older AMD cards seem to work better on this game because how badly this game is optimized and that can cause compatibility issues with newer AMD cards. Because my older 9950 cards runs this game smoother than my newer 370 does.
  • I have 50 ping. Sadly I don't have my old graphic card anymore. I gave it to a friend when I got a new one.
  • Why in the world people buy AMD graphic cards is beyond my comprehension.

Why because they are more cost effective and give you the about the same performance as Nvidia. My rig runs 2 Cross-fired AMD r9-380 4gig ram cards overclocked to 5.2 ghz stable,AMD FX-9370 overclocked to 5.2ghz stable liquided + air cooled, Motherboard runs 64gb ram. I can play any MMORPG, PC game and stream without so much as a hiccup ever. but i can't get 60 fps on this game so AMD is not the problem.

The performance of a GPU or CPU isn't just in the numbers/specs. When it comes to GPUs, AMD is only better when it comes to new APIs, which isn't really going to be a thing for years. Even if you get high fps in another game, an Nvidia/Intel based system would still get more anyways. The only point in ever going AMD was because it's cheaper, but even then, you didn't go with a cheap AMD CPU, you got one that costs as much as an unlocked i5 CPU would cost. While an i5 is 4 cores and yours is 8 cores, the 4 extra cores is largely irrelevent to the mass market, because most applications utilize a single core and sometimes part of a second core. This is generally why AMD lost the desktop market, programs didn't continue to utilize more and more cores like they had hoped, and it's why they went after the console market when they got destroyed in the PC market. The only reason Nvidia and Intel tend to cost more in the mid and high ranges is due to lack of competition, if AMD actually did anything they would be forced to charge less or go through massive improvements to continue being allowed to charge more.

    because elinware B)
  • Amd might save you a few bucks upfront but they are much more inefficient. AMD cards consume 3-4 times as much power as nVidia when using dual monitors or just playing 1080p. You already start losing money after a year of using an AMD card.

I was an AMD user but have to finally switch to gtx 1070 because Polaris still fails to fix the ridiculously high power consumption when using more than one monitor.

When will you realize that Tera runs on CPU, not GPU?
In this case, it may because some file(s) are missing or corrupted.
It could be your HDD/SSD, or bad file location.

I bought ATI card, I made a huge mistake lol,

I use the AMD card for 3D rendering in the applications I work in, because this is not a game only rig. And for that, AMD is way better.

Anyone got a solution for this?

If you want to know how Tera works in your PC, please refer this thread.

Again, it doesn't matter what's your GPU. Even it's powerful Nvidia 1080 6 GB etc etc since Tera runs heavily on 1 core CPU.
For FPS issue, you may have to refer this site to "optimize" Tera on your PC.
