Fix VM Design drops

Truth is that more or less, everybody has a certain grade of elitism inside. And this system (having to drop each design) doesn't actually slow down the players from having everything in 3 days from endgame release: it just makes the gap between normal/semi-hardcore and hardcore players huger. if you play since years or have a ton of gold you can just buy designs at a shameful price, but if you're not you have to rfarm tons of golds to get the design and hope someone would take you in midtier, and still be extremely lucky. It's a lose/lose situation and at this rate I'd be more happy if Visionmaker gear returns back to a single item for all the design-system, or if the patch lasts much longer with higher drop rates (in my days - Nightforge ones - that patch lasted almost 1 year, in which is reasonable that you'd get the designs without buying them directly sooner or later).
The problem here is. Anytime someone say ok there is probably excessive amounts of Korean bull going on. All the elites come out of the wood work to try to stomp that person out in attempt to nullify their opinion as if they are going to loose their status if anyone listens.
I'd also like to say your are being incredibly ignorant assuming I what I do or don't do in the game. We haven't talked about that at all so don't be so quick to judge. The point to the post is there is no GOOD reason for RNG on the designs. Why does that have to be explained.
I'm having a hard time taking this issue seriously when it only affect a handful of people.
This doesn't mean that for this handful of people the issue isn't serious on a certain grade anyway.
Are we playing same game? There are more pug group wanting +15 than +12. Some elite people want +15 Healers. Even my guildmate tell me to bring +15 imp lancer over +12 Brawler.
I get accepted by PUG LF group with +15 reaper nearly all the time. But, LF group ignores my +12 Sorc about 90% times in TR.
Actually, how many people get +15 for all alts? Because of 2 healer system, people want strong +15 in PUG. Honestly, +12 tank + 12 dps team takes much longer time to finish hardmode dungeon than +15 dps/ tank in.
I think, BHS should make it easier to get VM gear. RNG can be really bad for enchanting to 13~+15 sometimes. or Reduce RMNM and RMHM boss HP. New dungeons boss mechanism isn't too bad. But, their HP is just too high for full +12 party.
400k after a triple drop isn't what I would call reasonable.
I'm sure there's a lot of things we don't need, but get or want anyways. Not needing something isn't a valid argument, especially given a person could just as easily say Tera doesn't need everything to be locked behind 100 layers of RNG. There's no point in offering an upgrade if all it's going to do is frustrate people, considering some have actually quit the game over this, so it is in their best interest to reduce any frustration around it. Although, I don't expect anything done about it unless Koreans hate it.`
I understand why designs are rare though, in theory it should make people play longer after a new patch is launched. And that's fine, however I think that at least VM7 designs should drop more so that new players or returning players can actually work on a VM weapon to be even considered in the new HM dungeons. At this moment new and returning players (with VM5 or 6) are barred from content because of this. You can be a pink princess and tell me that we, the community, set the bar high, but thats not true, the difference between guile and a VM7 weapon is significant and not a lot of people want to waste their time with long dungeon runs.
tl;dr VM8 designs are ok for now, except for popular classes (sorc, ninja) since they are in high demand and prices are atronomical, but VM7 drop rate should be increased
Yes, most of the time the "+12 for all end game content" argument is bad.
Let's see - RMHM first boss has around 1.4B HP (give or take). With a double healer, and +15 Imp weapon tank + 2 +15 Imp weapon DPS, the average time it takes to kill this boss is 6-8 minutes (based off experience, give or take as well). Imagine the agony it would take to clear this with a full +12 Guile weapon party.
RMHM second boss doesn't have a timer but it kind of is on one - you run out of eggs you die. Imagine a +12 Guile weapon party where baby spider targets the dps most of the time. On duo healer this is even worse - you've only got the tank and one dps hitting it for a while. You'd run out of eggs before you kill big spider. There were times when RNG was so bad even +15 parties get down to last egg before killing this boss.
And we all know Lachelith is cancer.
Yes, it IS doable; however, if you ever have the time to take a second look and be completely honest with yourself, you would never want to take 15-30 minutes on a single boss.
Still @OP, there is a solution though. Just buy whatever you need off broker.
Are you kidding me. The mats required are rare enough considering how much is needed. The design does not need to be treated as if its a weapon drop it self on top of all the consumables needed to craft it. This doesn't even count to stuff needed to +15 in. Again the complaint is the DESIGN drop.
What kinda solution is that? The drop rate makes price gouging on the broker ridiculous. It still is rediculous. Why should I spend 100k for a design when I've collected hundreds of k in materials to craft it and enchant it all because it does not drop. There is a point in which it's not reasonable, and not fun. And before you say it's not supposed to be fun. What is the point of Tera?
