Actually, full +15 imp team normally kills each SSNM boss in about 30 sec~1.5min.
There are too many dps gap between Guile and +15 imp already. And, Ambush is even much stronger than Imp. So, There will be great gap btw Ambush team and Guile team. For Ambush team, most of dungeon will be done too easy and fast. But, for Guile party, it will take too long to kill RMNM first boss and other dungeons.
BHS needs to reduce dps gap btw Guile and ambush at least.
The issue isn't just gear. The 1st boss in NM/HM have more HP than the 3rd boss. The 1st boss takes longer for my group than the 2nd or 3rd even in HM. The boss is just a giant HP bar with nothing interesting.
As well I back stab the boss every now and then to play peeka boo with the DPS, helps keep them awake

Yeah. I know. But, it's also true that, there are too much dps gap between +15 ambush and +12 Guile. Prob. +15 Ambush dps can do 3 times more dps than Guile. More LF group will ignore or kick out Guile dps later
Ambush is only about 25% better than Guile assuming everything is maxed out otherwise.
It's definitely not 3x more DPS.
People said that in the last patches even when, according to you, the gap was small. However, lets just be honest, a person's gear is just a scapegoat. A person more often than not isn't kicked over being in mid tier gear. Yes, there are elitists that care about being in +15, however, that's a minority you choose to focus on. People are usually kicked, or not accepted, for being known as a trap player/floor mat (bad), having a poor attitude/raging/being annoying, being a leecher, poor gear rolls, bad crystals, or not the proper setup to do a given instance optimally. These people get kicked and often like to blame their gear, when the same thing would happen even if you gave them Ambush +15.
Yea I failed to notice that while tanking, was mainly trying to figure out how I could emote angry between attacks
+15 Imp is about 15% better than Guile. But, somehow in pve, normally, +15 Imp weap +12 imp glove dps does 1.5~2 times more dps than full Guile dps.
In last season, Imp was about 6% better than Starfall. But, this season, Ambush is about 10.5% better than Imp. With ancient dragon upgrade, it's going to be about 13% better than Imp. And, Ambush will be about 28% better than Guile.
Thing is content is simple, a lot already have it on farm mode, even those dirty little filthy casuals so anything more than Guile or Imp is just over kill.
Now I can give some insight to what I have noticed so far in my 25 rmhm runs as lancer and possibly why it takes so long to kill that boss:
- At first I used to die to the color mechanic quite a bit. But after figuring out the tendencies, I rarely die to this now unless I make a rare mistake.
- Guildies think that I'm color blind but now that I don't die to the color as often, am I still color blind?
- I've seen others mess up at the color quite often at times either because they make mistake or accept their fate.
- I also never think people are color blind but rather have slow reaction timings. Maybe high ping plays a role.
- Melee dps get stunned sometimes; I even seen a range dps get stunned once , and that was embarrassing.
- People I know making basic mistakes that they usually don't make; maybe having an off day?
- Sometimes deaths that cause aggro resets, is annoying and tank + dps loses uptimes; making the boss jump
- Speaking of uptime, is your party keeping up synergy and debuffs/buffs correctly at the right times?
- I do my part as lancer to keep up my dps but if party dps is low, then my dps suffers.
So I usually see one of the above happen quite a lot. If none of those happen, then I expect a respectable time to kill that boss. I only had 1 run where we killed the boss in like 4 minutes? I was so mad for not recording that attempt and well let's just say the party was so skilled that I had to be on my A game.
Considering that I have imp and starfall mix, I decided to get ambush to replace my starfall gear first. And at first I was so so on upgrading from Imp but didn't know that ambush had such a bigger increase. And also the fact they go to 8.5 vm later, that also interests me. Thus why I'm decide to go full ambush. I think your analysis of these posts about the comparisons really help me decide better
No way in hell would I do HM dungeons with Guile dps or majority of team in guile.
To be frank, any dps that is serious bout Tera should have imp weapons anyway.
Guile DPS, Burst w.e too weak and good luck burst skipping mechanics or avoiding em altogether.
However I still think it's annoying, even with the perfect party with no one dieing and aggro on me since Jesus, it still takes awhile. Still though, HM gives me a run for my money, I still can't get the color swapping mech fast enough, so it's more fun then.
Or, like, they started too late to get Imp (do the designs even drop anymore?), and they're told that Guile is pretty much as good as Imp so they should aim for Ambush anyway.
Point is, stop judging people by their gear.
