Southeast US, Charter ISP
The only 2 issues I have are:
- The game starting to stutter after a while (solved by closing client AND launcher, the launcher itself seem to be the source of the issue, then restarting both after the pop-up telling me that the launcher was closed)
- The game occasionally disconnecting without any warning or apparent reason, as seen from other players posts through this thread.
I do not actually see any lag while the game is working correctly; therefore I never looked at my ping either.
Turn Zayo on and wow, totally not playable, ping spiking from 90 to over 4k which is a disconnect and packet loss at 80 to 100%.
I'm in Ontario , Canada
64.125.31.82 is where it all starts to go wrong for me the 11th hop
Please turn it off, or find an alternate solution that doesn't screw either NA or EU. I thought it was my ISP all this time (been months now of the DCing) until you shut it down, and the DCs stopped until you turned it back on. It's infuriating to get DCed multiple times a day and not be able to do a single thing about it.
It's infuriating for everyone, but there's not exactly a quick fix that will make things better for everyone.
I do understand how routing works with connecting between hosts... Its just find that it's become increasingly difficult to pinpoint exact the problem of this issue and what they can do to fix it. I've been trying to calculate and trace certain IPs to see if it's a connection between hops but it seems to be entirely random. I'm sure someone out there has more information than I do though, heh.
Yeah, my interpretation of the data here and in other MMOs expressing similar problems over the last few weeks is that there are a number of different routing problems happening at the same time, which is what makes it particularly hard. You'll isolate one bad node, switch to a different route, and then find another unrelated bad node still in the path. Meanwhile, some people will be unaffected the whole time. So yeah, totally frustrating for everyone involved.
Zayo is my body and packet loss is my blood
I have disconnected over a 1000 weebs
Unknown to low ping
Nor known to server stability
Have withstood DDOS to create much latency
Yet these players can never stay connected
So as I lag, Unlimited TERA Works
ISP is comcast, my location is California. Guildmate also has Comcast but lives somewhere on the east coast. Everything else works fine. I was in a call with 5 other people and my call quality didn't drop in the slightest. Internet browser works fine, I even started downloading a torrent after I gave up on tera for the night and it downloaded just fine. Only things broken are your site, your launcher, and your game. Please let us know if you're looking into this or not, since it's been a couple of months and all I've heard are a few users vaguely discussing routing issues and implying that I should get a different ISP when this one works fine for every other game, download, and upload process except tera.
From what I've seen you either have an ISP that works well with Zayo or one that works terribly with it and evidently changing the routing just moved the problem to a different set of people.
