New, but Old Player looking for PvP

By old I mean I'm not a kid and I played Tera at launch... got to lvl 57 on a Mystic and have an army of 20-30s alts. I've played Tera off an on thru the years, but obviously I never got a character to max level. Love me some Open World PvP and can stomach instance PvP (matches) and I fall asleep after too much PvE'ing if the coffee isn't flowing.

I know Tera has some great PvP moments and the combat is great... but has that great PvP time came and went? Skimming some threads it sounds like it's a boring grind with not much activity. Watching some twitch channels, seems all PvE focused now.

Love to hear any comments on this from PvP Tera vets.... and btw, LFGuild (US daytime player, English speaking and prefer voice over guild chat).

No, this game is dying fast.

I loved it, kept hoping it would get better but no, every update it's worse.

Nowadays, there is no PVP. Battlegrounds rarely pop up (wait 1 hr on average, except for the very stupid Kumas BG), there is no GVG, there is no Alliance, only Civil Unrest, where you can go get killed by a swarm once a week, unless you're a part of it, in which case kill some random people without feeling any achievement.

The only people left are the extremely addicted/dedicated, the kids and the Brazilians.

Do yourself a favor and try Guild Wars 2, it's got great PVP and a large, mature community.

I dont do eny pvp but im playing GW2 and looks like fun(im lvl10) for now.
As YTYL3CARNL says pvp part of the game is bad or low on contems

I'm afraid this one seems to be the worst possible patch to pick if you are looking for pvp.
Like other people already said, GvG rework was more or less a flop and since the alliances have been removed , battlegrounds take ages to pop up and Ambush ( new VM ) doesn't really have great pvp rolls compared to its older versions ( even though it provides nice power & endurance) due to the fact it's a hybrid set .
Lots of players and pvpers quit and classes are not so balanced anymore compared to how they used to be back in the days ( now level cap has been raised , there's new skills , new classes , stats were adjusted and so on....fights tend to be relatively fast ) .
Despite everything I said....pvp as well as pve does still feel nice and it's something you can enjoy if you find the right guild, friends , ecc....but right now there's no point in doing pvp content apart from fun...which is quite sad.

thanks for the feedback... that's crazy and disappointing they actually made something relatively fun (what I heard anyway) and balanced and ruined it. As fun as the combat is, PvE doesn't keep me interested. And I have played and do enjoy GW2 combat. It's not full true action combat of Tera, but it's enough to be enjoyable vs the mindless tab target/mash button classic MMO feel. Been there, done that for far to long.

Have you tried action camera in GW2 btw? It's very much like Tera, in that you have to actually aim, although underneath its still technically tab targeting but AOE attacks and a lot of skills hit multiple people. Still doesn't quite feel right but I think it's a nice improvement.
