Female Amani Costumes
Why's it that most if not all of the newly released female amani costumes all have their feet mutilated to look like every other race? On the same topic I feel that female amani look kinda terrible in most costumes, and wouldn't mind at all some new armor-looking costumes (With their proper feet of course).

Exactly this. Because the original TERA team left, the "unique costume for each race" idea was thrown into the trash, and the money saving method of copy paste was implemented, creating the mounstrosity that is now the femani feet.
Ohh but femanis are not the only ones that were mutilated, not by a long shot. Amani males also got their feet in some costumes, put into a tiny tight shoe that totally does not match the original shape. Castanic males and females, mostly females, got their arcane scars removed to appeal to a more Smooth skin loving players. Most hats remove the horns of amani and castanic people, and the ears of elins. The next step will be to completely remove elin tails from a new costume -_- They can't even put a tail hole in costumes for elin a popori anymore.
I agree, it is a shame. I can't stand the way the 'human' feet look on them, and most of the time they look much better in actual armor either way. My main character that I play almost exclusively is a femani zerk, who just has a collection of Fashion Coupon costumes, meanwhile my rarely played alts actually have a few nice ones.
I like the elephant stompers on my Amani females, and want to keep them that way. They only have a variety of fashion coupon costumes though.
It's a shame I don't really like the heavy armor outfits for Amanis.
Shoving Amani females into human looking heels is just... wrong... looks even worse than how they change the males, but it's also a disgrace though.
This! Just... this.
I'd even rather have her feet always BARE than get those godawful human looking feet.
They just don't fit the Amani in MY opinion.
Mad paint skills by the way, yo.
Before I read the text, I did a dowant face at the left outfit. Would buy...if it looked like that.
Honestly, I think there's some of this in it as well. They probably reasoned that one of the reasons why Femani is so much less popular than the other human-looking races (since the launch of the game, not just recently) is... because they look less human. They probably found that costumes that made them look more human sold better in other markets.
Obviously there's a market who likes them just the way they are and is offended by the change too, but if that audience were larger it'd probably be the one they'd listen to. Obviously, it also helps that this can save them some time when modelling, and it's certainly true that they cut corners like crazy. But I don't think that's the only reason. I suspect BHS's next game won't have races like Baraka, Amani, and Popori.
I just can't shake the Cinderella association. You know, when the evil sisters mutilated their feet in an attempt to fit into the glass slipper...it's just so...wrong...
Well, if you want an in-lore argument, costumes are a sort of magical projection -- the characters are really wearing their armor (as you can tell from their stats), but putting on a costume is like an illusion. So their actual feet are just fine. All of the in-game armor (their real clothes) have the regular-looking Amani legs. (Except inner armor... so you basically have to argue that is a projection too, when they show it.)
Of course, you could still argue that even as a projection there's no reason to cover up their feet and they're fine the way they are...
I wasn't going for an in-lore argument. Unless Cinderella is part of the lore... The feet chopping just looks like a very terrible message...
PS: There is no in-lore excuse for most costumes. Have you ever seen an airplane? A sporting event? How would they think of projecting those costumes when they clearly don't exist in Arborea?
