Just because YOU enjoy PvE over PvP doesn't mean we all do.
Is BHS supposed to totally [filtered] over the PvP scene? You don't seem to realize quite a bit of TERA NA is made up of PvPers.
Before spellbound fwc was popping anytime. Insta pop -10 min max q.
At that point CS was rarely popping.
EQ gear and No rewards in the store killed it.
Look in the Mirror :^)
The game was made for selling costumes and mounts
I'm probably going to get my hand bitten for pointing this out but while Luxrelia isn't saying it correctly there are less PvPers in general. I believe it takes quite a while to become good at either PvP or PvE, and people don't have the time for both. Then on top of this there is so many other games that are designed from the ground up to be PvP games where they are closer to being balanced. Why go into something like tera when you can download a game and start off right away in another game? Yeah the combat is great, but again, why spend all that time when they can go right into PvPing? Higher balance, less time wasted, going against people that are close to you in ability, there's so many other reasons to do so as well.
There are people that like both as well, but from the queue times on stuff (don't forget most people don't use instance matching for PvE!) we can see over and over again that people are overwhelmingly going for PvE content. (Before we even start to count player set up parties for dungeons.) There just isn't that many people queuing for PvP.
To be fair, nearly 90% of the original PvP players already left Tera post-reaper and gunner.
If you actually bring this system back to 2-3 years ago, I can already see the outroar coming from some players.
I also brought this argument: there aren't only PvP guilds in MT. Amaterasu was a jarring huge example. There are too smaller PvP communities in PvE guilds. I don't see why there shouldn't be GvG just because a small vocal handful think they will get ganked 24/7 by other guilds just because they are pure PvE. I've in fact already showed that with Fey Forest, where actual PvPers won't randomly grief people.
I won't fault @Luxrelia at all for saying PvP takes no skill now. BHS made broken classes that allow you to instantly dominate once you have the upper hand in terms of latency to the server. No balanced PvP game will give a character a near perma stagger. Tera gets a reaper that does so. Brawlers used to have pull effect on AA, which is obviously too broken. But PvE's skillcap is already way lower than PvP is since TSHM times. Gone are the days where you need weeks to actually learn a true end-game dungeon, especially when average players can probably clear it after a few days since release. PvP has always been a "survival of the fittest" segment, and people practice way longer on PvP compared to PvE despite movesets being easier than before. And the ironic thing is that there are more PvE elitists than PvP ones, despite the former being more about cooperation than comeptition.
The game used to favour PvP during Bloodrave, with Alliance being around. While it is not the best, I could say that those were one of the golden moments of Tera history.
As someone who picked a pve server specifically to stay away from all of that nonsense, I am not broken up over this. PvP on CH was so dead back when skycastles were a thing, that guilds would literally trade wins with each other to guarantee themselves a castle for the month. It was disgusting and shameful and I'm glad it won't be coming back.
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
He gained a sense of superiority over something by trying to avoid and undermine a part of the game he fears, which is pathetic. Let him stay in his little tiny shelter of NON PVP realm, messing with weaklings like him are not worth our time.
