Desync isn't he same as skills just straight up missing. It could be the cause but they're not the same thing.

It's definitely better than it used to be but it's still miserable. It's an MMO pvp problem in general, it's not exclusive to Tera.

This isn't a matter of missing. Grab any ninja and tell them to Chakra Thrust at you any number of times and you'll realize straight away that there's a big issue involving desync. And there being a problem exclusive to all MMO's is not a reason to not get this almost unusably broken skill a fix. It breaks the class's potential entirely by just being an invasive issue.

this. I eventually got another ninja friend to try it on me, same results

  • I don't seem to have this problem. Tested it in Hulran Watch (If that matters) and 4m-8m always works. Anything less than 4m is 50/50.

Tested out the stun on my ninja (at velika outskirts) it seems to work just fine. Although you do have to be pretty close for the stun to land otherwise you're left just hitting the air.
I think it might've been because of the non-collision zone that hw has.

    hahahahahahaha
  • @MoeBunny I wonder why it is that some of us are having issues while others don't then? As I've said ping is a non-issue for me, and i had another Ninja without issues try dueling and using it on me, and he couldn't hit either...so what is the difference? (by the way this isn't just because of highwatch anymore, i've tested in multiple places now)

    It's NOT about Highwatch.

I wonder if it's like heart thrust on slayer. If so, you will need to mess with your aiming reticle and make sure it's on your target. The attack animation has no bearing on registering a hit. It would have been better if the video showed the ninjas perspective.

There is a reason why it works from a distance, look at your aiming reticle and look for the differences when you miss or hit.

as i've said before, i've done this at varying distances. i've tried right up close, i've tried farther, no matter where i am, i can only hit with it once in a while. it doesnt matter if i'm at 2,3,4,5 meters. i've done this countless times already just testing if it was like heart thrust, or even like how cascade use (still???idk) to be

It's not the distance per se, it's all about that reticle. That video from Sawao shows what's happening perfectly. It's exactly like heart thrust on slayer.

The desync only affects if you go through the target or not.

I tried that many multiple times yesterday when i was testing it too. in fact i tested every conceivable thing you could think of, different areas, distances, glancing blows, reticle on target nearly every single time. but today, it seems to be hitting for 50/50 so idk wtf the deal was. maybe was server issues when i was trying to do it. but i can say that 50/50 is waaaaay better than the 1/9 times i was hitting yesterday
  • I had zero problem with chakra thrust, 10/10 hits at varies distance.

I've tested with crosshair and at varying distances. Nothing guarantees it. I also have very low ping.
