Is my DPS bad and if so why?
I am just kind of getting into the late game groove on my warrior. T10 +12 optimized gear, Keen and Grounded 2 etchings (im cheap), crappy innerwear, not so optimized manor jewelry, and standard nevots (no dyads =[). My crit factor is 283 with stance. I have been trying to cap that, so I'm only running standard power from my gloves. With Noc and Nos my Scythe does 3 mil (almost 5 when enraged). Is this bad? If so is there anything besides optimizing my jewelry, upgrading to dyads and getting real innerwear to fix it?

Actually it is hard to go wrong with the standard PvE build esp now lol.
I remembered that warriors go for Energetics rather than Keens though, I might be wrong.
2. Archer is already OP with Slaughter Gear.
3. Normally, skillful, same geared reaper and zerker do more dps than Warr
4. Normally, Sorc and Archer will do almost 1.5x more dps than Warr.
5. But, Warr will get revamp/ buff later. Maybe about 3 month later.
Rings - power-4 & Crit-4
Inner try to get at least +12 keen or +8 power
Keen II etching is good enough for all dungeon maybe except RMHM and HH. People will ignore you without +15 Warr.
Practice to get 10 stacks in 8~10 sec.

I'll elaborate on 3 so...Tera is a P2W game despite what these fanboys who only play kr or Asian f2p grind fuckfest games. Your gear not skill determines the amount of DPS you will do since cough you face tank more/ burst DPS skip mechanics. Case in point an Imp lancer will struggle to do 1m dps on Lac in RMHM, but an Ambush some1 say 2m please? A guile lancer will get 1 shot donut but Imp lancer can survive the donut rest my case. Tera's been like that for years and wake up smell the BS in the definition of this so called "skill". Good DPS in a nutshell as we have seen is the 2m mark when paired with double heals. That is what you should be shooting for and yesh Zerks-Ninjas-War-Sorc-meme Brawler can all reach that. If you aren't, not using class optimally no excuses. Now do you have to... lol [filtered] no a clear is a clear. Most players don't even come close to 2m and settle for something between 1m-1.5m+ if you have Imperator or Ambush. That is also considered good and imo what most ppl in VM gear should shoot for. Don't kill yourself trying to learn how to cuz not worth it so what if you clear the run 1-2m faster. If you have mid tier gear your DPS will be crap no matter what you do. Next as you know FOTM classes revamp always OP so Yahtzee.

Lastly, if you die more than twice checking your DPS meter pretty useless imo I mean obv its gunna be [filtered] since floormat. Not a very good indicator considering news flash most ppl die in Tera and get res/carried by healer even in those speed runs. What they don't show is how many times they wiped perfecting the art of so called face tanking. Feel bad for heals.
I still get 3.5 - 5mil with bravery and canephorea( or whatever it is called) potions

What they measure is your DPS at the end. Granted realize that you can only reach those numbers with a static or healers that know how to heal under sub-optimal conditions aka in order to reach those #NotAsIntended numbers requires you to face tank A LOT. Building synergy takes time something you'll never get with PUGs. You can do 1m+ in guild run and floormat in PUG run.
It happens.
If you are not reaching your full potential more often the case is that certain guild members are holding you back. At the same time say it once again its PVE who cares nothing competitive about it.
I dont double brooch, I just have quickcarve and my 5 mil hits are usually mid because im running focused nivot. I'm also Solo so its all instance matching. But with DG i can push out 2 or 3 high 2m or 3m scythes fairly quickly in the start.
Update: I actually exceeded the crit cap a while ago and didnt notice, math is hard. I fixed that by changing to powerful vyrsks so i should be doing a bit more damage. Again, thank you for the help

As you can see, for dps classes, VM8 is "only" ~8.5% better than IMP (that's a lot tbh..), IMP+15 is like 12.5% better than Guile +12.
Ping on the other hand is HUGE in this game. On some classes, a low ping player can do as much as 50% better dps as a same skilled high ping player.
Imho, on Tera, i rly think dps breakdown is something like this: 50% ping,35% player skill and 15% gear.
That's for op classes (ninja/sorc/archer), an average low ping op class should beat a skilled high ping weak class in this game.
A high ping player not only loses dps cuz of suboptimal rotation (anything from 5% on slayer till 30%+ on gunner/lancer). On top of that they lose dps during mechs on hm dungeons cuz they got much less time to react.
Let's say for example RMHM.
That dg was cleary balanced arround 100 ms or less ping. Sure you can get gud, master the mechanics and your rotation, but there's simply not enough time to dps non stop if you got like 200ms+.
In fact, idk if ~2M/s is even possible on rmhm last boss with 200 ms ping no matter the class or gear. I think 1.5M/s is a more realistic cap for 200 ms players and they need to be VERY good at their game.
Heck, there's even dps difference between ppl on east coast with 80 ms and ppl from Chicago with 15-20ms. Now think about players from SEA/Australia with 250 ms...
So be careful if you say that someone just sux cuz they do <1M/s on rmhm last boss for example. That's a very normal dps for begginer/mid-tier +15 dps with high ping, cuz they play VERY defensively. Skill can only get you so far on this game...
They just suck if they can't pull off 1m/s.
There are 200 ms players that can pull off 2m/s without problems.
An 8.5% diff. is huge alas if you know Tera typically VM weapons do double the dmg. That is a "measly" 8.5% difference on EVERY skill. People can play around the numbers all they want to minuscule the obvious game breaking difference. It's why with Ambush Spring Attack can crit for 2m+ and Imp its 1m+ As a matter of fact, even 5% is game breaking just look at Guile Ninjas DPS that are able to keep Focus stack up 100% (5-15% Damage boost) so really now you can not say with a straight face oh this 10, 20, or 30, or w.e. percentage difference no big deal. The numbers in Tera do not work that way. Rule of thumb anything considered >10% is bound to have a significant impact in whatever you are doing. Some cases its 5%
Funny math and should debunk every stupid "oh its only 20% better BS:
P: I can say growth of forum membership is 50%.
P: In realty it went from 100-150 i.e. 50% sounds good but the actualresult is [filtered].
C: Above analogy is how many in Tera choose to use the crappy its only blah blah % excuse.
What really occurs in Tera
P: I can say growth of a portfolio is only 5%
P: In reality it grew from 1B to 1,050,000,000
C: A $50M growth is a huge [filtered] deal and that ROI would be considered a job well done.
The second example is how the 8.5%-15%-20%-25% works in Tera.
Examples:
Imp spring attack is 1m crits.
Ambush Spring attack 2.5m crits possible.
Imp wallop 3-5mish
Ambush wallop 5-8m
Above is what a measly measly 8.5% difference does and also those dragons OP
That's not what anyone means when they say 8.5% difference. Do you know how to multiply? The raw DPS boost from +15 VM7 and +15 VM8 assuming the same stats everywhere is just 7.5%. It means 1m Spring Attack does 75000 more damage per hit.
The main difference that adds an actual ton of damage is Dragon procs, Hurricane, Contagion, and enrage status.
Only thing I changed was weapons
Because going from Guile to VM8 isn't 8.5%. It's more like 25%.
There are also things like Endurance debuffs, good buff uptimes, etc.
