HELP ME PLEASE!

I cannot login to my tera account, I ran the EME diagnostic tool and I got this:

DETAILS:

NETSTAT: OK
DNS: OK
PORTS: FAIL

We were unable to connect to our servers in a timely manner from this computer. Please check your internet connection is active and functioning.

OS: OK
CPU: OK
RAM: OK
HD: OK
DIRECTX: OK

How do I fix this, I've tried reinstalling the game and rebooting my internet. I don't think my internet connection is the problem because it's working fine. Any ideas on what this is and how to fix it?

  • Have you tried fixing your launcher? If so, I'd probably just send in a ticket for EME to help you. Send them a picture of your problem and state what's wrong.

  • Other than what the diagnostics say, what does it actually do in the launcher? Do you get the login prompt? Does the game try to patch? Can you click play, and if so what does it do?

    The port-related failure can generally be ignored, but it's not too clear what the actual issue is.
  • Mmh .. I wouldn't ignore the port failure. Are you connecting through a proxy? E.g. my work internet access (proxy) blocks off the Tera ports and I can't connect to Tera.

  • No I'm just using my home internet via ethernet @SaphirKanzaki.

    @counterpoint It says "user authentication failed" but I read the reasons for that and I don't fit in any of those categories and I live in the U.S. so I'm still clueless.

    @Arinova What do you mean fixing my launcher? I've tried reinstalling TERA but that didn't work and I already made a ticket but I was wondering if any others were having similar issues at some point.

  • If it says User Authentication Failed, do you have multiple accounts? Are you using a VPN? Or, is it possible that you might have been banned? You may need to contact Support to get more information.
  • I have multiple accounts but I haven't logged into more than one. So I don't think that's it. I don't think I'm using a VPN? @counterpoint
  • Well you might try one of your other accounts to see if it makes a difference, but if not I guess contacting support is the only way.

  • unplug your router for a minute or 2 then plug it back in ( the power cord ), and try that. I uninstalled, did the repair, everything you did and got the same error . I unplugged the power cord to my router for a few minutes, then I got an error on launcher, but I just hit the play button again, and its been working fine ever since.
