Instance Matching and You

Hey anyone who reads this thread.

I've instance matched myself into Ruinous Manor Hard Mode and I've cleared all the way to the last boss.
Everyone in the party has dropped and there is one dude who is offline who is still in the party which allows me to recruit people to finish the dungeon.

My question is, I had friends who were willing to queue into the party and tried to but it did not pick them up no matter what they tried to do (queuing solo, queuing as a group, restarting queue, etc). Is there a reason I haven't been able to pick up anyone in the dungeon? Does it have to do with only 2 people being in the party and one of them being offline? If you can't say anything useful please don't as all I'm looking for is the answer to these two questions. Anyone have any ideas? Possibly maybe a GM can respond?

Just a question: did you allow the system to wait? On player entry side there is a buffer time based on how long the queue is running on the people still in the dungeon.

From what I know personally, the offline person doesnt affect IMS matching of extra players at all.
  • If by allowing the system to wait you mean, leaving the queue on for a while then yes I've been queuing this entire time for 15 minutes so far and no one not even stragglers have joined up into the group. It might be partially due to nobody wanting to join an in progress dungeon, but I'm pretty sure that isn't the case.
  • Mhm, the offliner won't effect the queue at all as they're treated as a party member regardless of state.

Your best bet is to "Sync" queues: Agree on a time or simply count down to when you'll click "Search for members" and when they click to confirm to queue into a dungeon of their choice. They'll have to accept an in-progress and from there it'll keep searching until all spots are filled - then they can actually queue into the dungeon with you.

But be wary, as there can be literally hundreds of people trying to queue into that dungeon, you're not guaranteed to get them even after a couple of tries, especially if they're queueing in as DPS.

It's honestly all luck of the draw. :P

We have tried to sync queues already and they were all members that will fill the entire party's needed roles as there are currently 2 dps in the party (me and an offline dude) and my friends who are queuing into the party (a tank, healer, and dps) filling out every role and should be instant. However clearly this wasn't the case.
  • you cant que into in program party with a party , each of your friend need to solo que

    Does that help?
