  • As I said, sexism. It's deep rooted within Asian countries as a whole so... don't expect anything from Koreans men of all things.

i call that independance from sjw B)
  • People say that would cost too much to make animations for more than 1 type of body, but BhS really has so little budget to not making just one more kit of that could be pretty similar to each other? even clothes, or new hairs, they are the same race, it would not be hard, and i doubt it would be too priced for them to make it, this thing about "cost too much to do" only applies if they do a classe to all races and genders.
  • Just personally I don't mind for whatever race but I can see the selling point, males really don't have much customisation I'd personally just slap on a rubber ducky then we have maybe the funniest outfit

If you think it's a self-fulfilling prophecy, go look at the healers you meet. There's no race/gender looking with healing classes so everyone picked exactly what they wanted to be. That'll explain the reasons for class locks to you.
  • Making animation for models is not expensive or make models. As someone who has worked in game development department I can say that it's nothing to do with that, but what sells well in in-game. Asians love their female characters so accordingly they get more chances to play female characters. They don't care about western audience, because we aren't willing to spend that much money as Asians.

It still takes longer to make 2+ models with animations than it does for only one, and therefore it's more expensive (unless they have in-house modellers/animators).

It is, but having a base ready you need just give new animation. I'm not saying that 3D modeling is easy job, but if you know how to do it (which takes a lot of knowledge and practice) it's not hard to do. I witness as my coworker did modeling, rigging, mapping from zero single handed in few days.

No-one said anything about difficulty, just time. Even if it's a few days for one model + animations from scratch, you'll still need more time for any extras, no matter what you re-use.

Laughable argument, to be honest. Basically, your argument boils down to: "Requires the same effort for less profits, so let's defend them for not doing it"

Ok then, let's never add new skills etc to any tank class in the game except for the "most popular" (probably brawler), let's completely ignore every single DPS class in the game except for the most popular, and same with mystic (much less popular than priest). Of course we still keep the stupid holy trinity -- after all, they still keep castanics/elves not just elins too, but female only ofc, for new "content".

So why are people crying about revamps of their obsolete classes? Learn to defend BHS properly! They don't want to bother cause they give them less profits. Mad? How does that sound to you?

If you support gender lock or have the slightest argument for it or defend it, you have no rooms to complain about anything if it's not the majority, and that's a period.

If we ever get a level cap raise too, your obsolete class won't get anything, sorry it will be total trash with no new skills etc and no new weapons. Geez what a waste of development resources to spend on making weapons for every class, no matter how unpopular it is... right?

That moment when you can't tell the difference between defending and explaining.

It's not even in SJW context I'm speaking here. Different values in different countries cause conflicts. See The Middle East. Anyways, to avoid a moderator from removing my post for "political" matters, it's unlikely we'll get anything by western standards as "decent" or "modest."

The measure of popularity they're basing this on is taking this into account and adjusting for it, and considering trends before all these new classes started too. Female characters are more popular globally than male characters, though less so here and in Europe. It's not based on a self-fulfilling caused by their continued release of female classes.
    That's complete [filtered] though.

If they released a male-only OP class, it would be as popular as any of the female-only classes simply because it's a new OP class. People would start making male characters like crazy because they want to play the class, and males would become far more popular.

I can't imagine many more people would have refused to make Brawlers if they were male-only than those who refused because they were female-only, so it is a self-fulfilling thing that BHS is continuing. Female characters were more popular initially, then that popularity grew further as the female-only classes were released and BHS seemingly refuses to look past that.

The Elin ones actually make sense, as Reaper fits pretty seamlessly into the lore.
You do realize BHS are the ones writing the lore, right? It could have been anything else, but they chose Elin. It isn't as though the lore existed and they made the class to fit the lore.

They wrote the lore for the class they were adding.
