I don't wanna cry much, never been yelling about lag, but these last 2 days things are bad, specially for players like me with +250 ms ping. many of my friends tried, but things are really bad and +500 ms ping most of the time with spikes :(

HALP EME, force those providers to fix their [filtered] or send out the POPO ARMY.

Why not just release the kraken? It's hungry for uncooperative providers souls.

@Spacecats Daily Report (09/Dec/2016): Didn't play anything intensive, but I was having random lag spikes (a few characters/monsters teleporting and skills misfiring/stacking) whilst levelling up my Brawler. I did notice unstable ping in Kumas when players were randomly teleporting to the place they were several seconds previously. Most notable issue was when a party member had serious issues at 11:00PM GMT.

Daily Report (10/Dec/2016): Didn't play anything intensive until 09:30PM GMT, but I was having random lag spikes (a few characters/monsters teleporting and skills misfiring/stacking) whilst levelling up my Brawler. I did notice unstable ping in Kumas and LKNM when players were randomly teleporting to the place they were several seconds previously.

The LKNM run had serious lag issues at 10:00 PM GMT, causing the party to almost wipe. Same again in RMNM at 10:45PM GMT for a couple of minutes and 12:10AM GMT 11/Dec/2016 for an extended period of 10+ minutes (two separate runs), causing the party to almost wipe due to being unable to move their characters.

Further, there still appear to be lag issues around the times that Dreamstorm is active affecting the server.

PS: Isn't there something up if someone is willing to do post stuff like this day after day AFTER they've tried everything they can to improve their connection AND they don't have any issues with any other games?

EDIT (11/Dec/2016 04:40AM GMT): Continued gaming after making the initial and there was all mother of lag, It seems that the worst of the lag occurs from the initial announcement that Operation Overwatch is starting soon until Operation Overwatch is over, which is a half hour period of ridiculously unstable gameplay where people that were fine before this Dreamstorm in a dungeon are wiping through no fault of their own (and that's assuming they weren't having the major problems that have still not been resolved since the start of the current content).
  • Are they ever going to address this?

  • Why waiting for answer when they always response to use with the same answer everytime?
  • TrialMacameauTrialMacameau Does it matter ? cuz DDOSing is a crime punishable of Prison ✭✭✭

I just did a cold boot with the intention of terminating those tasks; checking Task Manager before anything else, I now see 14 TERA.exe suspended and still 3 TL.exe suspended. >:)
I took a screenshot of that, but this forum only allows to import image from an URL, not from local computer; looking into that atm.

Tera is definitely doing something VERY dodgy; that is the kind of behavior I would expect from a virus, NOT from any legitimate application...

I have a very good AV/firewall suit; my system is clean unless Tera is now a disguised malware...
TERA.exe or TL.exe can't be suspended upon a cold boot unless there is something supremely wrong with your machine. I've had this machine on for weeks and launched TERA countless times, and there are no suspended TERA-related processes. If you have suspended processes that reactivate themselves on a reboot like that, something's wrong. Perhaps some sort of program is installed that tries to restore your computer to its last known state, but that's not normal. I'd be tempted to reformat or reset Windows completely.
I know it is not normal and it is ONLY TERA.exe and TL.exe
I have never seen anything like that under previous versions of Windows.
I bought this computer only 2 months ago, I cannot reformat it since it is a manufacturer install, and besides that I spent too much time migrating my data from my old computer.
I am now seriously considering removing Tera altogether and write it off...

At the very least, you should probably just uninstall it just to make sure these phantom processes go away, and then reinstall a fresh install to make sure they don't come back. I'm quite inclined to believe that the "cold boot" wasn't actually a cold boot but put it into sleep or hybernation mode instead (some power buttons do that by default now). It's unthinkable that any program would start dozens of suspended processes upon boot and makes no sense.
Yes, it is exactly what I have done and I was concluding.
I uninstalled Tera yesterday, then did a deep scan which found no issue.

I also did a search which showed that my problem was not a unique situation: http://superuser.com/questions/1056944/windows-10-processes-stuck-in-suspended-state http://forum.sysinternals.com/killed-process-stays-suspended_topic31972_page2.html
Neither of the 2 solutions applied in my case (both involved tasks being suspended by an AV software, but suspending mine while offline had no result; I would never suspend it while online), and the suspended tasks were still there after this and another alleged cold boot.
I am now thinking the same, that WIndows 10 shutdown is no longer a genuine shut down (I definitely selected shutdown each time, from the right-click menu), but a variation of what used to be hibernation in previous versions; this is the only possibility accounting for those tasks still being here while the executables are gone.

Still, I reinstalled Tera and those tasks are still there, without any means so far to terminate them, while their number is likely to keep growing over time; I am currently investigating 3rd-party substitutes to Task Manager to do what it used to do on previous Windows versions.
That still does not remove the issue of how they came to be that way, which definitely seem to be an issue with Tera itself when used on Windows 10.

About the Hibernation, If you want a Full Complete Shutdown of Windows, Hold Shift and click Shut Down or launch CMD as Admin and type powercfg /h off to disable hibernation. Or if it's not this then I will retract my statement.
  • Terrible lag on Sunday.
  • Been lagging bad since yesterday's Dreamstorm before the Civil Unrest, CU time made it just worse and hasn't gone down at all...
