  • Depends on the server, but it's really dying and if ur starting new (i.e trying to go from 1-65 on ur first character) be prepared to solo / barely talk to players, but if u get to 65 there's a chance that it gets better for you...but idk >:)

No one but En Masse can accurately answer these questions. You'll get either too negative of a response (game is dead) or too positive of a response (game is very successful). The game is free, so you can always try it and see if you like it. Pre-65 you won't find many people, but leveling takes no time. If you're efficient ~2 hours gets you to about level 50. The only thing that matters is the server you choose. There's MT if you enjoy open world pvp, TR if you don't want open world pvp, and CH if you don't want as serious of a server as MT is the serious server with TR being 2nd.

So there is a chance there might be some endgame ?

Yea prolly, best bet is to find a guild and/or make friends @ end-game who you could play with!
  • Yes unfortunately, shortly after January this year, Tera just died.

The problem with Tera is the end-game places far too much emphasis on a single dungeon. Most of the new achievements, titles and key elements of the new gear will be in ONE dungeon ~ the one Tera consider to be the hardest in the game. Just stop and think for a second how incredibly silly that is! For many different reasons, the majority of players can't just focus on that one dungeon. Tera drives it's player-base with goals and then tells them “you can't achieve this”, which is a huge, huge mistake. The problem just gets worse as the player-base decreases because it gets harder and harder to find people who are willing and able to run the top end-game.

Players have to be given a way to succeed ~ to achieve goals, or they will just walk away, and of course that has happened. I can't tell you how many players I have seen leave Tera because they couldn't get the parties to run the top dungeons. It is absolute madness in a game of this size that so much comes down to one dungeon.

The guild quests are excellent and I think they could be expanded to form at least one of the alternative ways of achieving goals. Give the guild quests a comprehensive system of achievements, add in glowing titles, and give mats for the latest gear too. I'm not saying make it easy, I'm saying give people an alternative.

People also need solo things they can do when there aren't parties and there aren't guild things to do. Unfortunately, most of these things have now been removed. Gathering, crafting, alliance dailies and so on have all been stopped. It leaves people little to do when they are bored!

If you are new to the game then I would strongly suggest that you enjoy the actual game itself, but be prepared for the end-game, or lack of it.
