3% Gear

I constantly hear people refer to some VM gear as 3% MW, and I for the life of me cannot figure out what this means, and I can't find any information on it either. Can somebody explain this to me?

    When you masterwork an item there is a bonus stat to your modifiers. 3% is perfect roll.
  • It's the percentage boost from enchanting that you get after your base modifier.

    atk = Base (+Enchanting modifier)

    Along with enchanting, you get a random chance to get a higher boost. That's where the 3% comes in, it's the highest you can get. The simple way to find this out is to just use a masterworking calculator.

  • So, if my VM7 chestpiece has a defense modifier of 6,463 (+5,364), then it's at 2%, and I just have to keep doing enigmatic resets to get it to 3%, correct?

    It's a min/max thing . If you have a 3% MW weapon you'll do a very small amount of more damage than a 1% MW weapon.

    I'm a priest so for example my +15 weapon has a base attack modifier of 7371. Next to it, I have another number in parenthesis - 3759
    So if we put it into the calculator above, +15 [T9+], Attack 7371, You'll see that MW 1% is 3611, MW 2% is 3685 and MW 3% is 3759.

    If you have a 1% or 2% and want 3%, you can simply reroll your weapon or armor (spellbind your rolls of course) and keep rerolling till you see the 3% MW Value
